full auto demo...60fps or 30fps???

i really cant tell. if its 60fps then gotham craps all over this. if its 30 then gotham still craps all over this. framerate wise anyway. i like blowing stuff up though. :D

I heard someone say the demo seems to run 60 (though not constantly) when in 480, but drops to 30 (and below) when running in HD. Haven't seen the demo myself, though.

Yes, the variable framerate sucks, but I am WAY excited for this game, based on the demo.

It is unbelievably fun hunting down the racing rivals and SHOOTING THEY ASS with missles.

Hopefully the framerate gets locked before ship.

lol, sorry, a little drunk here.

Full Auto demo has a LOT of framerate drops, it's really unstable. I am on a standard TV too, so if it's even worse in HDTV that is pretty bad.

Gothams framerate was a lot better because it was smooth. I don't care if a game is 60FPS or 30FPS, as long as it is stable.

talking framerate. not art. if its at 60, when its running smooth, gothams framerate still looks better.

PGR3 looks smoother because it doesn't have framerate drops, which Full Auto does all over the place.

I would like to coin a phrase and nickname this game "Dull Auto"

I hope this phrase is new and will stick with the game for many months!

Based on the OXM demo running at 720P, it's supposed to be 60fps but 95% of the time it's 30 or below.

I hope they nailed a steady 60fps for the retail version cause it could be interesting.... and yes that means I'm not gonna buy it if it runs like that crappy demo.

I would tend to agree that the core gameplay of the demo does not imbue me with much in the way of excitement, however on a technical level, the sheer amount of destruction is still VERY impressive.
^he said he like to blow shit up.

The demo is fun as all hell. Most of the technical issues seem to be related to it being an apparently old demo. There's little consistency in when the game decides to slow down, which makes me think that the vast majority of these framerate issues will be ironed out during the optimization process.

It's like Burnout with guns. I am excited. There had just better be more than a handful of levels.

full auto. hmm. i liked the demo, but i wont buy it if the framerate isnt consistant. i prefer 35-40 steady framerate, rather than 60 dropping to 25 all teh time

What are all you guys bitching about? Are we playing the same demo? I downloaded it, it runs fine and it's fun. I've had a couple of framerate hitches, when there were a lot of explosions and a close-up camera (car next to a wall), but it's completely playable. HUGE improvement over last E3, where it was the framiest thing on the show floor.

The game seemed fun to me. I guess it sucks cause it isn't a JPN racer

Eh, I like it but I can't tell what's going on half the time because of the always fluctuating framerate. It's like sometimes I'm driving fast, sometimes slow, but the car speed is staying the same the whole time.

Also I don't think they should've gone with the Wipeout/F-Zero racing w/guns idea. A non-linear city aka. Twisted Metal with full on destruction would be better fitting to the engine since the actual driving engine seems like ass.

I'd say it's more like 30fps with the occasional spike, where it hits 60fps for a few seconds and then drops back down to 20fps :D
