Fuzion Xbox Testing: COD Black Ops 7 (Beta) runs very poorly on Xbox One.

Possibly the worst performing Call of Duty game on the 8th generation, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is really struggling to run on Xbox One. The resolution is about 900p at best (possibly lower in some scenarios), but the multiplayer struggles to hold even 30fps, frequently dropping into the low 20's.

How did this happen? If I were to take a guess it's that the Xbox One version was the lowest priority version, with it's exotic memory architecture not helping matters at all. The PS4 version seems to maintain much more playable framerates, meaning we have a performance gap bigger than what happened with the launch of Call of Duty Ghosts back in 2013.

They're lucky to even get the game at all the console is 12 years old 😳

It took me a second to realize that we're talking about Xbox One and not Series X.

But yeah, I would imagine their testing team barely touches the Xbone. No doubt a very low priority.

the vid looks pretty fluid.. how doe sit not "RUN" well?

I just can't understand why they'd bother putting any resources into developing this for Xbox One.

I mean we've gotta be talking maybe a couple thousand copies sold for that system at this point.

Reminder that they said they would get future titles running on the original switch.

They never said that. Nevermind, I was wrong

"a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo following the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King."

"Microsoft and Nintendo have now negotiated and signed a binding 10-year legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players - the same day as Xbox, with full feature and content parity - so they can experience Call of Duty just as Xbox and PlayStation gamers enjoy Call of Duty. We are committed to providing long term equal access to Call of Duty to other gaming platforms, bringing more choice to more players and more competition to the gaming market."

It's been 2+ years, where are they?

I stand corrected!

Whoa. Holy crap. They're still releasing games for the PS4 and Xbox One generation? I literally had no idea. Wow. That means terrible things in terms of adoption rate for the Series and PS5 line.

Holy shit.

There are literally only 4 mainstream games that we're released on PS4 this year, NBA 2K26, EA sports fc 26 and the upcoming black ops 7.

There are other smaller titles like terminator 2D and some yakuza games, aside of that the releases on PS4 are almost non existent.

That it's even being done at all is utterly astounding.

To my knowledge, this has never been done before in the history of the industry. Of course, not counting the homebrew scene.

Sports games are usually the last ones to remove last gen versions.

I think MS was dumb to release BO7 on Xbone and PS4.

But you can see that more than 90% of the new games only release on current gen systems.

Holy crap might as well release on PS3 right? I mean, they don't seem to care if game's playable at all. I remember COD was 60fps on consoles always, this is new to me.
