Poltergeist 2 might have introduced the scariest looking villain I have ever seen in my entire life. It's more frightening when you realize hardly any of it is makeup and that is how he actually looked in real life.

I'm pretty sure the guy on the cover is supposed to represent Randall Flagg (The Stand) but I always thought it looked identical to the Poltergeist 2 guy.
Seriously underrated (?) movie. At the very least, it's definitely overlooked. Super sinister and just as fun as the 1st IMO.

The first movie was way, way better. There's no comparison. The first movie is one of my favorite movies of all time and scared me like you cannot believe.
But almost as a standalone, the second movie is really good and there's some legit frightening parts. Like the time when he pukes up the Beast and it crawls over to the door. It makes it even more creepier when you find out the guy in the costume had no limbs so it was done by somebody who was limbless.
The design of the Beast himself is lovecraftian and so well done. Everything about that second movie with pretty damn creepy.
I never even bothered with a third movie. It looks terrible.

Yea, the 3rd is trash. Up there with the likes of Caddyshack 2, The Omen 4, Grease 2, etc. lol.
