hope this isnt old.

Alright! The ever popular G25/G27 racing wheel is coming to the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 slim, although not 'officially'. Peripheral maker XCM has produced a converter for the steering wheel known as the 'F1 Converter'. The product also brings combo attack features to the table for fighting games!

damnit, I just sold my fucking G25 to get a 360 compatible wheel.
YOU DID WHAT?!@ :o

Edit: I really hope you're talking about a Fanatec wheel and not the official Microsoft offering.

I fear that this converter won't fix the real issue with Xbox 360 wheels--poor force feedback.

But if it makes the G25/G27 feel exactly like it does on the PS3/PC, this thing would easily be worth $50+.

If it's less than $30 I'm in, want to play me some PGR4 and Rallisport Challenge 2.

Not backwards compatible. :(

Actually, it is, but you need to do some mod thing to it. I don't know which as I've never had any interest but a mate of mine has and pretty much every Xbox1 game works. The console is able to, MS just haven't unlocked certain games.

WAT!!?!

I need to know exactly how to do this now.

As far as this converter goes, I cant imagine it working well at all with games that dont know its dealing with 900 degrees.

Same here, that's what I was thinking too. I guess if Forza maybe lets you calibrate the wheel. I think the Fanatec wheels are 900 degrees so maybe? The force feedback may not work at all either.

I want this to be as amazing as I dream it to be.

My 1st party 360 wheel decided it wanted to be fire.

If this doesn't answer my dreams, then MS should really release an updated wireless wheel in time for Forza 4. Or better yet, support the fucking 3rd party wheels.

For a $70-$80 device you shouldn't have to temporarily connect a 360 controller to it. Also, didn't really see any force feedback.
it works that way because MS has a 'security system' that locks out unlicensed peripherals, so you have to plug in a wired 360 controller to bypass that.

wait... so it lets you use xbox 360, ps3 and xbox controllers on xbox 360 and ps3 too?

pretty good if it really works with the shifter and clutch. but how is this any different from all those other versions of these adapters, ive seen like 5 different ones that all enable either PS3 controllers or mouse/keyboard use.

edit: also that you need to attach the official controller -parasite is a low blow, they could not get an official chip or use one of the chinese knockoff's that some arcade sticks have?

It's fucking worthless, it only supports rumble.
if you don't know the difference try to play something like Outrun Online Arcade, which only supports rumble on both consoles. That's how it is going to behave for every racer on 360.

it's just the latest version... they keep adding more features to the same design every 6 months

i remember there was a huge difference in the way ffb worked on 360 vs ps3, like they were completely incompatible from a basic design standpoint... maybe someone else has a link on the explanation...

you need a JTAG Xbox 360 and modified Xbox1 emulator files that remove the checks that allow only certain games to run.
Yeah, I'm said mate of Gen X. RSC2 played off the original disc fine, some games just didn't boot at all though. Framerate was pretty well perfect with only a tiny amount of texture glitches. There are games that DID make it to the official emulator that perform/look worse.

TBH, it was worth hunting down a hacked 360 to get it running... such an awesome game that I was glad to be able to play without having to hook up the old Xbox.

That makes sense. I'll think I'll wait for the $16 replica version then.

Same here. I already have a pretty awesome G27 set-up that I'd like to use on 360. From the info released I can't tell, does this support force feedback or not?

My situation exactly. Built a dirt cheap playseat from a GameRacer base, and had a cracking deal on a G27.
Being able to use this on 360 would be a bliss too.
