So the neighbors have a female cat and continuously let her get pregnant this is like her sixth litter and the kittens and mother are always in our yard all over the neighborhood. We’ve asked them to please fix her and they just don’t care. We have a good relationship
With the them and don’t want to ruin it but this cat mess is getting out of hand is there anything we can do ?

If it were so good, they would take your concerns regarding the cat more seriously.

Have the cat spayed and discreetly return it a few days later

Donate it to animal shelter , say you found it as a stray wandering around your neighborhood.

Take them all to the animal shelter. Say you found them in a box on a country road or something.
Or just drive the cats 20-30miles away and release them.

Jesus OP I hope you aren't my neighbor because I have a feral cat that came with my house and shes on litter #5 or 6 easy. We can't catch her because shes so wild. I've taken probably 15 of her kittens to the local humane society (Just saved another one 2 days ago).
All I can do is feed them and save as many of her kittens as I can.

This is my immediate question. What exactly is the problem here?

There's really no way to end that situation without talking it over with your neighbors. Probably not what you wanted to hear but you're gonna have to bite the bullet and communicate.

The only other options I can think of are:

• Take the cat to a shelter (it will probably be euthenized)
• Kill it yourselves with poison or a gun or something (doubt you want to do this if you're bothering to ask for advice)
• Take the cat to get spayed yourselves (neighbor may wonder where the cat is and you'll have to take care of it for a while until its recovered)

Maybe offer to pay for the spaying yourself if you don't feel that $50 bucks is too much for the inconvenience of having cats in heat in your neighborhood?
