Spam or not we're going to steadily move up. NO ONE CAN STOP THE GAF.

except if the server goes down :D

The motto for GAF's server should be: working hard or hardly working.

If we're 120 for most posts last week, well, we should move up pretty consistently.

IGN is the largest boards though, add Vault network, Gamespy, IGN boards, Rotten Tomatoes and TeamXbox boards together....

and you get 211,502,773 posts. That's almost as big as the seperate #1 and #2 combined.

TheForce.Net also uses the IGN Boards.

It makes me wonder how some of these boards got so big. :(

You would think the general-discussion forums would all be on top as opposed to the specific-subject boards. Of course while GA is focused upon gaming and what not, there's no doubt OT holds its own traffc-wise.

And the #1 board - *weep*

Bet if the stats included the last iteration of vbulletin we'd be substantially higher.

Of course. I think Neo GAF will plow over most of these boards, even without classic GAF's numbers. When we're 120th in weekly post production with 3000+ members (realistically ~500 that post daily) we're going to make it to somewhere around 3 million posts before we have trouble moving up.

Why does Neo GAF have fewer posters than classic GAF?

Wasn't classic GAF around for 3+ years? That would be the answer, since Neo GAF has only been around for 5 months.

But then the gap between the classic GAFs was small. The old posters could have easily transitioned onto the new GAFs

Edit: I understand now. This would include posters that aren't very active or were active only for a period of time. The mods here are also strict about multiple screennames.

Actually, we've only been around for 4 months. Also, we have better activity stats, which we don't share. As for the decline in accounts, keep in mind, there were a lot of banned and dead accounts from the last server, as well as unapproved accounts.

Also, we have a lot of unapproved accounts here, as well. :D
