In GAF-Hop, we try our best to expand our horizons and discover new artists, and try to escape the status-quo of the usual hiphop world. Its being said that hiphop is dead, and it isnt. Why did this happen? Probably because of the mainstream popularization of certain artists that claim (falsely) to be rappers, or advents/saviors of hiphop. Largely a joke, average people make broad and often incorrect assumptions about what rap/hiphop is and is not. There were key players in this, but lets try to avoid pointing fingers.
Instead, lets do our best to support real artists who make true efforts to bring in talent and unique abilities to boost creativity, mostly within the underground.
