GAF Hype meter leading into E3: X360 vs NR vs PS3

Like that Cruel Bastard Mario said if its a FPS, not Metroid, for the Rev, and ready for launch..it would be a awesome.

not to mention, why wouldn't Nintendo have Retro making a showpiece title for Revolution?

It makes sense for them to make a Rev game that showcases the system. But I didn't want to assume. Even though Reggie kinda hinted that Retro is working on some next gen stuff.

i just got a glimpse of what Retro is up to. i now know what it feels like to have your prostate massaged.

don't even bother asking, you guys just better hope that they show off more than what i just saw. cause if not, man, ultimate cock tease from Nintendo.
Don't cross us!

yeah, a little common sense never hurts.

not my intentions. like i said, im pretty ass raped, and can't wait to see more. i just reeeeeeeeeally hope they show more off. anything. just anything. but god oh god pleeeeease let there be a demonstration.

I'm pretty surprised about all the excitement everyone is feeling for Nintendo this E3. But I guess they have to do something to get some love back. I'm much more excited about seeing the new Zelda game then anything to do with the Revolution.
My hype meter is looking like this right now:
1) Xbox360
2) games for this current generation
3) details about PS3 and Revolution.

Pretty simple really. If any of the other nextgen consoles were coming out at the same time as Xbox360 they woudl get the same amount of hype from me.

Sometimes Nintendo doesn't use common sense, and so I can't always assume their next move using it. Though lately they've been on a role.

:lol
more hints please....i would pay you but im poor :)

BTW, your obviously NDA'ed but Johnny has anyone really broken Nintendo's NDA. I just want to know what they did in retaliation.

Erm, how did you get this glimpse? Aren't you just a photographer?

1) Xbox 360
2) Revolution
3) PS3

I'm not quite sure if I'm more excited about the Revolution of the Xbox 360 quite yet. Depends on what Nintendo and Microsoft show off for software.

This is too much. The drama and suspense is killing me. When are they holding their pre-E3 event again, next Tuesday? It couldn't come any sooner.

It's nice to see a little momentum going Nintendo's way, isn't it? Can't wait to see how Iwata's first console is handled.

no NDA here. i wouldn't even want to think about, considering imagining, what would happen if someone broke a Nintendo NDA and got caught.

sorry, can't answer this.

As far as first glimpse of hardware
1) Revolution (there is just always a little magic with N and E3)
2)PS3 can't wait to see the design
and 360 doesn't count here becuase there is nothing much left to see as far as hardware goes.

As far as actual system hype 360 lead right now if only that I will be playing it this year. REV and PS3 are going to end up leading the hype train though because if last gen is any indication they will aborb most of my play time after they hit.

1) Revolution. I'm keeping hope alive.
2) PS3. Hoping we'll see the true power of PS3.
3) Xbox 360. Just looking forward to finding out about BC, and if PD0 really looks tht bad.

1.REV
2.PS3
3.DS (ipod/pda/minihdd rumors- would be quite something)

As for Retro, they've shown to be an immensely procifient, talented, and efficient developer. Both Metroid games had sublime gameplay, as well as top notch art and technically gorgeous.
I'd give them the benefit of the doubt anyday.

Retro has an amazing bunch of concept artists and character designers, I hope they get to do an original IP.

Anyways, uh.

Rev.
PS3
360

1. Revolution = industry savior, Yamauchi-san's Second Coming that will make us taller, prettier and blondier.
2. New Super Mario Bros. (NDS) (seems everyone forgot).
3. Nintendo DS Network = by far the most exciting feature of the machine, I expect it to unleash the beast inside.
4. Reggie's new mottos for the GAF season 2005-2006.

Revolution - I'm very interested in seeing what is "revolutionary" about the Revolution, and I want to see if what Johnny Nigthttrain has been saying is true (like significant third-party support).

PS3 - I hope PS3 has an adequate presence because I really want to see it.

XBox 360 - I'm least excited about XBox 360 because not only has it already been revealed, but what we've seen hasn't been impressive. I'm still excited about it, though.

Did anyone else notice this on 1up?

Rare's fantasy action-adventure Kameo is finally coming to life as an Xbox 360 launch project, on a scale far bigger than originally imagined. The one-on-one monster battles envisioned for its GameCube incarnation are now massive melees with more than 2,000 creatures on-screen, each driven by its own individual AI. Meanwhile, Rare may not be the only former Nintendo partisan finding a new home at Microsoft...but we won't be able to talk about this until E3 properly kicks off next week.

I'm guessing that this refers to Factor 5, since SK is third-party and it would fit in with previous rumors. But we'll see.

Yeah, there was a thread about it. Consensus was that it was Factor 5. Makes sense since 'he who will not be named here, said that they weren't working on any Revolution goodies.

More likely Silicon Knights.

I thought everybody already knew about Sillycon Knights, though. Oh well, could be either one. Could be both. I will miss Factor 5's graphics, though. Hope Lucas sees fit to give this Nintendo fan his Star Wars fix next gen.

someone just made a thread and sourced me on the IGN boards...

anyways, this is what Matt had to say about it.

"Huh? Sounds suspect. Retro is working on Metroid Prime 3 for Revolution. Unless it has another game in the works, I just don't see how this information could be true."

"I should clarify that while Metroid Prime 3 is allegedly in the works, I'm not certain on the platform. I'm assuming that it's going to be a Revolution launch title."

Matt

anyways, he seems to be doubting me, but then again, i never said what the game was.

Please don't joke like that. Don't break my heart. My hero doesn't do drugs. :|

P.S. - Please bring an extra t-shirt for me. Medium or, if you have to, large.
