This photograph is truly a hidden gem. Timing was perfect.
It's a nice moment but way too far away and the rest of the photo isn't very interesting. Keep on striving for more Earl/Parasight

Thanks!
York was pretty busy, those narrow streets don't help either!
That was Finland. Spring after the winter always feels great though.
Anyway, thanks and took the other away.
That was just an cold spell last May. Snow had already melted and that one lasted just one day.Winter must be really really really miserable then if that blizzard feels great. Damn I take not living in the arctic for granted.

Cold, colorless darkness for months really does take a toll on you...
Did you get some fudge from Fudge Kitchen? Always have to get some when I visit York. Its also one of my favourite places to visit near Christmas, adds to the atmosphere.
Like the shots of the subway and cathedral .
Is that first picture from Oulu? Looks so much like Oulu, but I guess it could be anywhere in Finland too. Here are some pics from last spring:
Not really. I'm like a Moomin, I don't go outside much when It's cold...I am going to Finland the last week of October for work, any recommendations?
Our beautiful bridges do look a like, but that was in Kouvola, you know, the pretty city.Is that first picture from Oulu? Looks so much like Oulu, but I guess it could be anywhere in Finland too.

-5C-+10C. It's not really cold yet then. What kind of temps can I expect? In celsius is ok
I like this one. It has a movielike quality to it and I can imagine the second before and after.
Thanks... maybe I should try it 16x9.
It feels like curtains opening, if that makes sense and it could work.
Here is a pic I took of myself for a thing about roots and shit:

I think it would definitely look dope with a move movie-like aesthetic. Great shots btw, the one behind the glass has a nice dream-like feel to it.Thanks... maybe I should try it 16x9.
That's pretty creepy. And cool. Good work.

I had a feeling that was the case, just wanted to bust your chops.I think it's pretty clear that the exposure on the first photo was a stylistic choice lol
I went to Photoville, which took place in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

love this one.
Yeah I was just walking and had to grab a pic of this dude snoozing. The texture of the wood bench really adds to the picture.Great photos, love this one in particular.

More osprey shots...upped my exposure a bit, and also was present at a lucky time.
JadedWriter... what is your approach to street photography? I really enjoy your photos.

I love the light in these, especially all the warmth in the first two. What big paws this cutie has!
Well, no, not really. First off, DPI is more or less completely useless for this;it's only relevant to printing and can be adjusted anyway.Hi, how can I determinate the quality of two different photos.
One photo is 768x1280 and the other one is 960x1280, both 96dpi.
Supposedly the photo that is 960x1280 was taken with a 8 Megapixels Camera and the other one with a worse one. But it gives the impression that the photos taken by the worse camera are better.
Is there a thumb rule for quality of photos?
Well, no, not really. First off, DPI is more or less completely useless for this;it's only relevant to printing and can be adjusted anyway.
Quality is not solely dependant on file resolution; that being said, the two photos you're talking about are the same "resolution" but are two different aspect ratios.
Resolution is not necessarily a large factor in terms of "quality" past a certain point. A Sony a7s takes 12mp photos. An iPhone takes probably like 40 at this point or some shit. But the iPhone will get the dogshit kicked out of it by the a7s, hands down no contest.
In short, we can't tell you.
Just look at the photos and go with whichever one you like.
