Okay, so the GBA SP has been out for many moons now. The Game Boy Micro is the new Game Boy hotness. Nintendo DS is a little over a year into its life-span. So when do you think the GBA SP will drop to $50? E3 time, possibly?

I can't see it happening soon, because it's still selling. Just get the red one with Pokemon FireRed or something, and get on with your life..

Well remember, the introduction of the new model SP is still recent. The frontlit ones seem to be getting knocked off by deals like selling them for $50 on Black Friday at Wal-Mart.

I don't think it should be hard to find one cheap on ebay, especially now that Christmas is over.
I got a backlit graphite SP in November for $45 + $6 shipping to give as a Christmas gift.

I was hoping to pick up a couple SPs so I can actually play the few connectivity Cube games I own, but it doesn't look like it's going down in price anytime soon.

Probably never, a la PS2/XBox. Nintendo needs DS to start leeching GBA buyers in NA.
