Game Informer names top 10 Holiday games

Game Informer, North America's largest paid circulation games publication, today announced its picks for the best games of the 2004 holiday season in its latest Game Informer Top 10 list.
1. Halo 2 (Xbox)
2. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)
3. Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (PS2)
4. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (Xbox,PS2)
5. Half-Life 2 (PC)
6. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
7. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Gamecube)
8. Star wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords (Xbox)
9. Burnout 3: Takedown (Xbox)
10. World of Warcraft (PC)

Except for the lack of Ninja Gaiden, and Tony Hawk, I agree. They're probably going by sales either way.

half-life 2 and world of warcraft are way too low down...

...but then this is gameinformer. What more needs to be said?

THUG 2 above Half-Life 2?

GI's credibility continues down the shitter. Now we really know that magazine's run by a bunch of infantiles.

good gosh, some of the reaction in here is just plain juvenile. i think the list is pretty damn good actually. and talking about killing them because your game wasn't higher on the list? holy shit.

Even though I dont own a pc, or HL2, it should be...

1. HL2
2. Halo 2
etc... add Ace Combat and take away the shitty Tony hawk game.

have you played the game, it only takes 1 minute to get you hooked.

Yeah, I have. I really didn't see what's so special. Of course, I tend to not enjoy racers except for the futuristic and/ or cartoony type, like F-Zero, Mario Kart, and Konami Krazy Racers.

I agree that Game Informer has no credibility when it comes to reviewing software. The only reason they get the circulation they do is by giving it away with the GameStop discount cards.
