Great timing from Owlcat games

Looks like good stuff, although I heard the writting is better on the previous game.

I'm more interested in Rogue Trader tho, can't wait for that game to be finished.

From what I've been playing, I agree on the writing. The Kingmaker game....to me feels like the overall story is better, characters are more interesting. This one....they aren't really clicking. That might change, we will see.

I've had both games for a long while, but only finished Kingmaker.

I loved Pillars of Eternity, pretty much the game that got me into those kinds of cRPGs. Does it play similarly? Also, is it recommended to play the first one, Kingmaker, or can I just hop into this second part?

sort of, it's a RTWP system (although better than the one in POE imo). You don't need to play Kingmaker.

In this game you can choose between real time with pause or turn based. Unlike Pillars 2 you can switch between the two modes on the fly while playing the game. You can also rotate the camera in this game. You can skip Kingmaker. Wrath Of The Righteous is superior in every way and is a completely different campaign setting in the Pathfinder world of Golarion. I play Wrath Of The Righteous turn based with my Xbox controller on PC. My current playthrough I'm using the Thug subclass of Rogue.

I never tried this, is it similar to Larian games?
Different set of rules (pathfinder instead of D&D) and afaik, more focus on more stuff aside from just adventuring.

For example Kingmaker has you managing a kingdom, assigning your party bros to different roles on administration and so on.

You can disable that stuff so it's automatic if you don't care about it. It's nice having the option.

When will it be finished?

I have it installed but waiting for 2nd dlc before I start. Are they going to release more?

There are two confirmed DLCs and we just got the first one. Should still be a while until the next one is released.

In any case, they might put out even more DLCs and patches. For that reason I'm not buying it until I see an Ultimate Edition.

I think 2nd one is scheduled for December this year. (Pretty close release schedule)

I will likely start playing cause if its like this game, I might be waiting for a couple of years.

My god. Nearly after 3 years Owlcat finally said "that's it" for the game with the latest update which rolled a few days ago. I really like Owlcat but as I said in another thread, you had to wait for a long time to play their game with everything's finished.

Also this game has my longest play time on Steam (in 1 session, 240 hours). If you love CRPG's and really have enough time, you definitely should play this. Love it. Wish I played it now rather than before.

I put over 100 hours into Rogue Trader then stopped so I can start over again once the second DLC releases. Theyve patched and rebalanced the game a lot since I was playing.

It felt a bit janky when I played it. Got into bugs in 1st hour itself. So decided to wait.

Yeah it was buggy. Had a blast playing though. Made a Vanguard that came from a Forge World. Chossing Forge World allows you to get a perk where you can't be knocked down when wearing heavy armor. Comes in real handy when being a tank and taking on bosses and other heavy hitters.

The build variety and depth in this game is hilarious and awesome. The character creator alone has so many options and then you have the mythic path trees. I need to replay it with the DLCs some day.

Enhanced Edition is just 12 bucks:

Wonder if this is the same as that GOTY edition.

Ok, I think below buy option is more cheaper. It gets you all DLC's except the item DLC's. Which they are useless.

Buy base game + Season Pass 1 + Season Pass 2

I've always been on the fence about this game, but showing off a Kotaku accolade in their trailer didn't help.

Also, I remember the battle system of the previous game, Kingmaker fell apart at the end.

I've started it a few times but never really got into it.
What i was missing was the ommph in battles but i think thats not the selling point of this game.
Anyways will give it another try for sure.

You will definitely enjoy it. It jus that's so much to do and the builds are great.
Definetly getting it at some point.

Haven't played many CRPGs and this one seems awfully complicated but, at the same time, well worth the effort. Everytime I see people talking about it they sing their praises.

If you liked OG BG2 or new BG3 then this is a no-brainer.
Haven't played BG3.

BG2 got me hooked from start to finish (about 70 hours?) and jumped straight into my top 10 videogames ever. Loved the setting, story, characters and villain.

I'm currently playing Pathfinder Kingmaker right now, and im planning to play WOTR after. Ive played BG3 this year it was amazing and all but it's crazy to me that Pathfinder games are closer to the original Baldur's Gate than the game released by Larian. It took 40-50 hours for everything to settle down and get used to the whole mechanics, while on BG3 it was pretty much straight forward experience didn't even care about my party's build at all. People should give Kingmaker a chance honestly, it was overwhelmingly hard but satisfying when you get used to it. Also, I adore the water shaders in this game.

I've started WOTR a few times but not sure if its the story or characters but couldn't get in to it and always end up dropping it few hours in.
I absolutely loved BG3 but have not managed to really get into another CRPG yet. Have a number of hours in Pillars 2 deadfire but hate the setting sadly.

You might like Warhammer Rogue Trader.

Despite never playing 1 second of this game, I've bought all of this game as it came out in waves and have spent a shit ton of money and bought the full game plus all dlc as it released.

Please tell me there is an upgrade path or that this is just it all bundled together.

I can't watch the video right now lol.

Despite what I said above, DO buy this though. It's badass according to everyone who plays it. I consider myself a fan's fan. Before you judge me, the game is supported with my money, lol. I will play it shoon.

Edit: NVM, now I see I already own this shit. Get on my level and buy this game BG3 fans!

I've had this game since last year and it's great, but I've only put about 10 hours into it, because BG3 has destroyed my gaming life. :messenger_loudly_crying:

It does a lot good stuff that I wish BG3 had.
