GameBoy Tetris High Scores

Also, Tetris DX maxed out at level 30 - anything after that was just holding out. Getting actual Tetris' then is awesome fun. Teh speed you start at doesn't really matter, seeing as the points you get early during level 1-9 differs little compared to once you are flying at level 30. The score system was involved certain scores for tetris', multiplied by your level you were on.
Speaking of speed, anyone remember that Sega clone Bloxeed? I remember the speed ramp-up in that game seeming pretty ridiculous... like the piece would appear and then *bap!* it was at the bottom almost instantaneously.

...then again, videos like this one (the title of the game cracks me up) validate the playability of the above, in addition to making me want to quit playing videogames entirely. :lol

My 259-lines record (original GB game) last for something like ten years, but I finally managed to beat it two years ago, putting it to 271 (I think the GBA SP pad helped me a bit). That's a pity they didn't put a memory to keep the records :(

(I don't play for points but rather for lines... So I barely ever see Bourane in A-mode... I never managed to succeed in 9-heart:5 in game B, just 9-heart:4 :( )

I don't ever try to imagine how it's possible to even scratch the 300 on the GB game, since I have difficulties to put pieces on the sides even if the pit is empty as soon as I reach 250... Does the falling speed stop to increase at those levels ?
