GamersNexus' is under threat from Bloomberg over content used in a recent three hour long expose documentary...

For those who are unaware... the popular yourtube channel GamersNexus recently released a three and a half hour long expose documentary covering the NVIDIA AI black market in China. A video that was uploaded about a week only, only to get taken down through a copyright strike from Bloomberg. Who were one of the major companies investigated in this documentary by GamersNexus...

The documentary has been re-uploaded by other youtube channels. The video itself weights in at about 22GB's in size and took months to film and edit.

You can find the entire documentary here:

I'm not going to say I'm the biggest supporter as I've been critical about some of the things they've done but this is BS what they're having to endure over Bloomberg. I'm on their side on this one.

Love this geezer, he's awesome lol

How old is Steve? I would imagine he is in his mid to late 30's? He's been doing the GamersNexus thing for a while now... since 2008.

To be honest, I have not seen the entirety of the 3 hour documentary yet. I was holding off on watching just so I could have three and a half uninterrupted hours to watch the thing.

The Chinese and US trade laws really prevent China from gaining access to higher end GPU's. When you look at sites like Aliexpress for GPU's (I do all the time), most fall under the RTX 5070 or RX 9070 performance bracket. This leads to a lot of alternative 'Chinese exclusive market cards.

The Documentary covers some form of Chinese GPU smuggling, where they strip the GPU's down to the silicon and components. Which lead to some connections to Bloomberg.

I can't say that I am a huge GamersNexus supporter either, to be honest. I was debating even making a thread about this. But, given how it has escalated over the past few days, it seems to be thread worthy enough. For me, I mostly watch GamersNexus for their news coverage and the odd benchmark.

I am not sure what things they have been criticized for reticently.

Nothing recent, just some stuff that never caused me to unsub unlike Digital Foundry and their giggling taste.

I like a lot of what GN does. Same for channels like LTT.

I do feel like they lost the plot somehow... far less cool things like overclocking with nitrogen... more shenanigans... so to speak. Even this large expose... surely they anticipated this was coming? ... but they did it anyway.
