The bear of bad news
wow like football but never buy game anymore crud ea actually make good nintendos port now??

I played a game of Madden 26 on Switch 2 in handheld mode--I didn't see it docked--and though it did look like a graphical step down from what I later played on PS5, nothing else about it felt compromised by the platform.

I wonder how many normies will grab a Switch 2 for Madden, Fifa and COD.
See, i don't like that argument. I think for a *most* successful consoles, they must have the *normie* games.

Minecraft and EA FC are a must on any system. Madden, College Football, COD, and GTA would also be great. IT would help push adoption of the platform. Which only helps everyone in the long run.

Most people play these games online i wonder how nintendos online infrastructure will handle the online play.

What argument? I'm asking a question because it could drive adoption but by how much remains to be seen.

There you have it, folks. It's a step down from the PS5 version.

Minecraft sure

But EA FC? Everyone needs to stay away from that garbage
I get that. But the fact is, "sports genre" is the most important genre on any system.

There has NEVER been a successful system without the sports games. The Switch was the closest and Nintendo "moneyhatted" FIFA, and NBA 2k. To make sure they had those games annually. Nintendo was actually in charge of porting EA FC/Fifa for Switch annually with a small EA team in India (I believe).

We don't have confirmation yet, but i suspect the acquisition of Shiver entertainment in Florida was all about helping EA port their IP to NS2. Shiver is largely made up of ex EA employees.

Clear as day. I can see why sports games are the backbone of any successful console, no way around it then. Even Nintendo knew they couldn't skip out, hence the yearly FIFA and 2K deals and that smart move with Shiver

The game is just a mess (in terms of content, gameplay and support) right now, but I guess the casual couldn't care that much when they just want to play a sports game

Personally, I would like a new Tecmo Bowl, Wii bowling and Punchout!

I would also kill for FullHouse Poker to return. (But I think the casinos killed that on x360, if I remember correctly.)

But I'm an older gamer, who doesn't play much anymore. Mostly with younger nieces and nephews. Being the cool uncle.
