So I went in Gamestop today to check for the OXM with the Chaos Theory/Conker/UC2 demos. They were busy re-doing their DS section because apparently someone complained that it was so small compared to the PSP section, and the manager mentioned to me that they will be putting the Ngage in the back corner of the store where the DS currently is because they are going to be phasing it out of their stores.

No, they said they were dropping the system. It wasn't because of the QD coming out.

My Gamestop has such a weird setup.

PSP is now in the front right corner next to the PS2, whereas the DS is in the back left corner next to the GBA. They just took a whole bunch of PS2 games down. Xbox is now cornered, eating into the former N-Gage space.

The thread title is misleading. Gamestops are being remerchandised this week, and n-gage is marginalized yet again, but 50%+ of stores will continue to stock it all the same.

No, as I explained in two posts in this thread I was told by the store manager that they were dropping the system.

either way thanks for info. I didn't know, but it seems reasonable that they'd do it eventually... actually I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner, but I thought Nokia was paying for shelf space...

This 12 year old kid came into work on thursday sidetalking into his N-Gage. First time I've ever seen someone talking into one of those things; it was hilarious. :lol

Falcom's making an all new, exclusive game for N-Gage... all I can say to this is what the hell? Falcom should at least be working on Xenon games, their J-Win games would port over pretty nicely to a MS platform.

I want every console that ever existed, even the CD-I and the Atari Jaguar, but this one I would not even pay 10 dollars for it.

Gamestop is not dropping the Ngage. As mentioned earlier, Gamestop are setting up their new floor plans and have to account for the PSP. My store doesn't even carry Ngage, but the company as a whole is still supporting it. Some stores don't carry the platform and it is not the store managers decision.
