GB Micro + Play-Yan = which case?

The main problem is that most cases allow for the extra bulk of the Play-Yan cartridge, but not the headphone plug that plugs into the Play-Yan cart. You can plug the headphones into the GB Micro, but there's a noticeable drop in quality that way.

Has anyone found a case that is comfortable with both the Play-Yan and headphones at the same time?

This Micro case caught my eye on NCSX. According to them, it seems to have plenty of room on the inside the case so it may fit the Micro + Play-yan and the headphone.

The cloth pouch that comes with the Micro is good, and that's what I currently use.

i thought the play-yan could only output sound through its minijack, or was i just misinformed this whole time? i vaguely remember reading about that as one of the complaints about it, or maybe it was just about getting crappy quality sound out of the ds speakers when used on there.

how do you like the play-yan btw? i was on a trip with my ipod mini and ds recently and was thinking itd be nice to have a micro instead (cause i ended up listening to only a small portion of my songs and playing through mario world).

as for cases, i dont know...maybe a case for an ipod or ipod mini, or a minidisc one. i used an md one for my original gba (barely fit), then sp (fit great with quite a bit of room to spare), now i just have a bunch of gba carts in it. thats basically all i can think of, just look for cases for other stuff thats approximately the same size.

The Play-Yan sound comes out of the speakers if you don't plug anything in, and you get the same sound out of the GBA / GBM jack if you plug headphones into the GBA. It's stereo, but you get lots of additional noise. The sound through the Play-Yan jack is fantastic though.

My iPod died last week (battery death), so I'm using my Play-Yan instead and there's no discernible difference for me. I'll look at iPod cases too... that sounds like a good plan.

The sound through the Play-Yan micro is simply amazing. After hearing several different mp3 players, I can't say that the micro is bested by any of them. Crystal clear and deep resonating bass.

I would just use a small digital camera case.
Excellent advice. I picked one up at lunchtime and it's perfect. There's so much choice in that field too, so whether you want soft and casual or business leather stuff, you can't go wrong.
