GBA Gems??

n3ss

aka acr0nym
Ok, was thinking about getting a GBM since I don't own a GBA(anymore), GBSP or a DS. I also like how small it is and will possibly be able to sneak in some play time at work! So what are some games I should pick up right away? Besides Advance wars(played the crap out of that game, when I had a GBA)Also very interested in Imported GBA games as well.. Anyone?

...!!!Paging Jarrod!!!...

Fire Emblem
Astro Boy (quite short)
Mario Kart Super Circuit
Boktai
Mario & Luigi

Those are just some of my favorites.

A few of my favorites that haven't been mentioned:

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Wario Ware Twisted
Kururin Paradise

I loved Poke Sapphire, but if Emerald is better. get that one

-Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

The #1 gem on GBA, or any console for that matter, is Gurulogi Champ (sometimes referred to as "Guru Logic Champ," or in GBA ROM circles, uh... "Golroz Chang Poo"). I haven't met a single person yet who hasn't agreed after checking it out.

Astro Boy
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Zero Mission
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Fire Emblem
Wario Ware: Mega Microgames
Wario Ware Twisted

This game is a lot of fun if you can find it. It's not very long, and not as challenging or deep as Super Punch-Out!, but it's great for on the go

Seconding this, though I can only play it in ROM form on my flash cart, as I have yet to find a vendor that carries it :( Any clue on where I (or the OP, for that matter) could get hold of this one?

Most have been mentioned.
I'd like to add this as a must buy:

I personally enjoyed Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Sword of Mana, but that's debatable.

I hear guru logic champ is very good. If anyone wants to trade me a copy for Ninja 5-0 please let me know! I have an unopened copy that I'd be willing to trade straight up.

EFWIS=Every Fucking Week I Swear. It's an acr0nym.

Instead of these threads Kobun requests you from now on to please PM him for the greatest GBA games.

On-topic: Mega Man Zero 1-3

Yeah,

I really don't understand the love for AstroBoy. I typically love sidescrollers and most of Treasure's other offerings, but I simply couldn't get into this one. Really, I didn't get past the third level before getting bored with it. Is there something I'm missing? (I expect responses like "you must suck" or whatever) But honestly...does it get better? I just can't bring myself to wanna play it, but can't escape the feeling that I'm missing out on something.
