I saw the bundles at Target today. They're not suppose to be on sale till the 14th IIRC. I also noticed that the bundle comes with two controllers. It says it pretty big on the box and it looks like the box is bigger than normal. But yeah...the bundles are out there and there are TWO controllers with the bundle

Someone on the Cheapassgamer forum found the bundles at Best Buy as well, and they also include 2 controllers, so it's not a Target exclusive or anything. I don't remember the news reports revealing a 2nd controller with the bundle...

Does it include a memory card? Because two controllers and no memory card would seem pretty stupid... and missing memory cards are a pet peeve of mine.

No kidding. Gamecube with 2 controllers and Mario Kart for $99 is a steal. I was surprised it even has 2 controllers since none of the reports stated it

What color is the actual GameCube unit in this Mario Kart bundle? It better be in Platinum, because if Nintendo only offers this bundle in Indigo only then that's extremely lame.

Do they even sell the indigo cube anymore? They should just discontinue it, if they haven't already, since it pushes casuals away. Nintendo should push the black and platinum models only.

I think they had platinum but I'm not entirely sure. I didn't really pay too much attention except for the 2nd controller bit

Top Spin and NCAA Football 2005. EBgames had a special bundle that expired today that included Crimson Skies with the bundle for free. It's dead though

Even though the Jet and Platinum-colored GCs are the prevalent colors, the Indigo-colored GCs are still around.

Ah, ok. One of my friends really wants a GC. With this 2nd controller, this may turn the tide for him regardless of color. We'll see... ^_^

I was talking besides the top spin/ NCAA (and btw, I think it's NCAA 2003 or 2004, not 5), hence the "he hates sports games" thing.

Also, sports games are useless as trade-ins...especially old ones.

Unless I glanced at the box wrong, it looked 2 wavebird controllers were bundled in. Looks to be a great deal, almost as if Nintendo was giving you a free Gamecube with the purchase of Mario Kart and 2 wavebirds.

The Canadian version, from Futureshop.

Those don't look like wavebirds to me.

There are 2 bundles for sale - one with 1 controller, one with two controllers.
The two controller bundle is $10 more.

Yeah that's the same bundle I saw, without the French. They really make it clear that there are two controllers with the bundle

wavebirds don't have the gap between the thumbsticks. Great bundle though. I'm so happy that this will drive the price on MKDD on ebay down.

Good idea. When the first talk of the Mario Kart bundle happened a few weeks back, I said they should do a bundle with a big multiplayer game and 4 controllers for $150... this is at least a bit closer to that.

All packaging on any merchandise has to have English and French.
I'm sure there's an exception or two, but none that I can think of off the top of my head.
