A long time ago, when real time 3D was nowhere close to precalculated cgi, it made sense to make cinematic cgi trailers for games. Everyone knew it wasn't representative. Nowdays, those types of trailer (cgi or in-engine, or any other bullshit word used to not say cgi when you cannot say real time neither) are just made to mislead people.
I know publishers have always tried to bullshit us, i know about the time of ubisoft bullshit gameplay trailers, KZ2 E3 trailer, etc.
But i feel like at least they were genuinely lying at the time (i know it sound silly), not sleazily lawyering you by telling you that it's on you for believing the real time in-engine gameplay trailer was representative of the final product.

I don't know what pushed me to think that watching this trailer that is actually not trying that much to makes us believe whatever lies.. Maybe the spirit of captain obvious took over me for a sec, maybe im just sad because i want to play Onimusha demo and can't.
