BTW, was I the only one who thought that the title for this thread said Greek Gaf - Super Models?

I'm a heterosexual male. Of course they do. (How is she a loli? she has boobs the size of her head)

i have a couple DQ blobs i got for free but thats it. i have no interest in the stuff really just more crap to dust. the whole half naked anime girls thing screams never getting laid imo.

I love you for that Lum figure. :0 And where'd you get the Ranma ones? I haven't seen Ranma ones anywhere. You live in Japan? You should totally help out people like me with finding cool stuff and importing. :P

The Ranma toys are part of a set of 5-6 mini diorama scenes from the manga. They come randomly boxed for around 600 yen each...I think they came out two years ago.

The Lum toy came in a little box that says "Present For you." I got it really cheap at a recycle shop.

It really really really depends on who you're dating. Really.

That Mai is pretty cool looking.

I just can't justify getting this stuff even though I think some of it looks cool. It takes a man with a pretty understanding g/f/wife or one that isn't looking for a g/f/wife to collect this stuff, and I'm neither.

You're jumping the gun. It screams "I have zero social skills whatsoever." Getting laid is but a fantasy! There are some really, REALLY CREEPY people that frequent the shops that sell this stuff. What's worse is that a lot of them also sell porn, like doujinshi, so the real FREAKS will show up.

My wife and I were at a game shop a few months ago -they sell porn on the 2nd floor- I'm looking at some old Dreamcast games, and this creepy fuck comes running over to where I am, looking at games in the same area and breathing very heavily. Then as we're walking away, he darts behind my wife. I have my eyes locked on this guy; if I even see him so much as stare at her behind I'm going to do something that might get me deported.

But no, he doesn't do anything. He waits for her to get out of the way and then RUNS to the stairs and up to the second floor, still breathing HEAVILY the entire time. Fucking creepy.

That's actually another reason recycle shops are better- no freaks. It's usually normal people. Hell, there's plenty of times you see couples or girls looking at this stuff too. It's not like it is back home.

The Mai toy is based on Kinu Nishimura's artwork from Capcom Vs. SNK 2. It's ultra-popular and has been remade twice already. That's one of the toys I hope to sell off later on for a profit, although it getting remade might have killed that.

Those toys are connected to my gaming hobby...the vast majority of them are Capcom and SNK fighting game characters. My wife doesn't mind because my hobbies don't get in the way of our relationship, and you better believe that if we needed money, that stuff would be the first thing to go!

But I have aquired way, way too many toys over the past two years...

Damn that Mai... As cool as all these are not sure if I could get myself to buy more than the few I have. I mean the just sit there doing nothing.. but hey I got the Mary one so I guess I'm satisfied.

I thought it looked familiar. I used to scour the net for any and all Capcom and SNK art I could find and I know exactly what picture you're talking about.

We have one Yuna figurine that I bought my wife a couple years ago. It sits on a bookshelf in the livingroom. I would go for some more figures though if they are cool. Snake would be great. That or something hentai. Hentai Rei? I've seen it.

Believe.

I want them to serve as decorations for my dream nerd-gaming room.

These toys are always fun to show to females. We had some friends come over for the first time, and one of them took a bunch of pictures. She was like "OMG WTF IS THIS?!?!" :lol

I'm married. I don't care. ;)

Actually I don't have as many as it may seem from the pics-- all those toys sit on three sets of shelves.

Ya I'm sure the "Bent over showing panties" motif you're going with impresses them greatly haha.

Could be worse i suppose...

I think it is quite an impressive collection. Shoot, if I had money to throw around I would probably have a similar one, though possibly less female focused.

I bought the Witchblade and the Kenichi toys because of the poses...didn't think I could ever find anything more perverted that wasn't hentai. :lol My friend's wife wanted to buy the Kenichi one more than I did.

It's less about the money for me (I'd pay 100 bucks for lots of those easily) and more about the work it takes to track these things down where they're not sold out and worry about shipping to alaska and all that.

I had a small plastic June figure (Star Gladiator) that was in a smiliar pose. At one point my boss made her a skirt outta a sticky note.

I'm not joking when I say that finding male figures is next to impossible. All these toy companies make are females, because the otaku aren't going to buy anything else. :/ Believe me, if I saw a Terry Bogard or Ryu figure, I'd buy it. But you never do. I found a small-sized Alex and Leo (from Warzard) that I snapped up...I think that's about it.

I found some cool Sengoku Basara toys about the same size as the Mai one for around 4000 yen each, but there were only two and neither character is my favorite. That was a rarity though-- these toys almost always seem to be either mechs or boobies.

I'm pretty sure Play-Asia sells them.

Haha, that one is sitting in the collection of small toys I posted.

I'm sure I've seen both Terry Bogard and a Ryu figures.

Look at my pics. I have hardly any women.

yeah thetrin, but i mean i never purchase figures of women. i just want someone to share my false sense of superiority with :(

EDIT - ok, link, we'd be best buddies but i hate gl, but we can still lord over the people who buy female figures.

I see this stuff on NCSX and Play-Asia all the time, but I can't justify spending any of my extra money on figures.

It's sad too, because I think a lot of them look really rad.

I only really collect models I build myself tha are mostly all mechs.

The problem with mechs is that 99% of them are Gundams. I wish there was more stuff out there. There are several small Gurren Lagann kits available though.

Well for me, (and probably Lyte as well), this kind of stuff is everywhere, and really cheap. Whenever I pick up a game, I look at figures to supplement the purchase. Ordering online makes collecting a LOT harder, because it's so much more expensive, and you likely don't have anyone to trade with if you get a dud.

It's true. And I'm so afraid to venture out of Gundams simply because I do play with my models from time to time, and the recent Gundam model kits are sturdy enough for it.

And I'm afraid if I fiddle with an Armored Core kit from Kotobukiya...OOPS! Grenade launcher's barrel snaps off!

It's a shame too, they look really friggin cool. :(

Here's a picture of the expensive stuff (except for the june). The rest of the little things are in a bag in a million pieces.

I dont really mind it too much, im glad 00 atleast has some good looking mechs because I dont own a single seed model.

I do own like 5 different version of the RX-78.

and I wish they would put out a Perfec Grade Alex or Sazabi, I want them so bad.

I'm sure they've been made before, but I have never come across larger-sized ones in the two+ years I've lived in Japan.

Absolutely. Cryptozoologist, there is no way I'd have any of these toys if I wasn't living here. I spent around 100-400 yen for most of the little toys and 900-1500 yen for most of the bigger ones...only a few did I buy new for 3000-8000 yen. The online prices are marked up and I couldn't justify paying $80 U.S. plus shipping for toys either.

Oh, this was outside a manga/toy shop area recently:

Revoltech's a pretty damn good investment if you're looking for stuff that's with a good sculpt and poseable.

You can do some sick shit with rare designs (like Patlabor) and they're relatively inexpensive too.

I'm moving to South Korea soon, so maybe then I'll have more of an opportunity to collect some figures.

I definitely understand, if I was to just walk into a store and see a bunch of them just on the shelves, I'd just have to pick a few up. I couldn't help myself.

What's going on in the corner over there?

Here's the few male figures I've been able to find:

Here's a shop with a name that sounds like "Gang Rape." This place was pretty dirty inside and had toys in the front and nothing but doujin porn comics in the back. The guy in the front at the counter looked like Itagaki.

Yeah, Revoltech makes action figures, so they can be posed. They have a Devil May Cry 3 Dante, but I wasn't too keen on the design. The Optimus Prime and Megatron ones look cool though, and at some point I'm going to have to get the two Yotsuba To! ones.

I have that Beach Capcom set, too...like Trin said, this stuff is cheap. I got all of those for about 700 yen.

You know, Ferrio, I thought of you when I found this Blue Mary toy. :lol

I've been meaning to buy one (Or something similar) so my desktop wouldn't look so depressing/plain. I haven't found any that I liked though.

You guys think figures are bad? How about toys with just torsos and hips?

Only in Japan.

I have a few more than that Lyte, but damn, I have every one of those, except for Ryu. :lol

Screw girls...

IMG_0392.jpg

That's about 50% of my stuff. I made a hugely conscious effort a couple years ago to stop buying figures.

Side note: That cup has baseline dirt from one of the last games in old Busch Stadium before anybody asks, hehe.

Yeah, I have the green (I think) ribbon version of that figure. it's a nice figure. I'm just glad when I can find Lum figures. :D

Sucks about never being able to find male figures. Nice phoenix wright figure though btw. Hey, if you ever come across any other Lum figures, you should totally let me know. :lol She's my favorite anime character.
