How do I join early access?
To sum up, Grinding Gear Games has announced changes to their Supporter Packs. Current Core Supporter Packs will be retired on November 21st, 2024. New Supporter Packs will offer Early Access to Path of Exile 2, starting at $30 USD. Additionally, GGG has partnered with a new shipping company to improve delivery times for physical rewards, but this will incur additional shipping costs.

Yes but early access is $30. That will get you currency to buy stash tabs and other useful stuff so you get value out of it that will probably be essential if you want to go deep into endgame with multiple characters (need a lot of space for stuff)

This will break a million concurrent players imo. They have a real chance to break into the huge more casual market and the 10+ million kind of numbers once the full game is out if it reviews like I expect it and then focusing much more on console players with the improved controller support and actually releasing the PC client content at the same time on console.

I'm pretty sure they've said they're simplifying currencies and I welcome that. I'm so far behind I wouldn't know where to start without a damn POE dictionary.

Bet we'll find out during the stream. For some reason I thought it was starting right now.

But, even if it's only through GGG's website, when it finally comes to Steam (which says Dec 2024 on Steam), you can play from there and all your achievements and shit will carry over.

Might be a Steam bundle special with a higher price tag, or maybe it'll even be $30 on there too.

Find out really soon, hopefully.

I only caught a bit of this, figure I'll watch on youtube if they post it on there.

But, I got a feeling the playerbase is going to be quite split between PoE and PoE2.

I think click to move players are going to be pretty annoyed, as I believe they will be at a disadvantage compared to people that use WASD/controller. With all the strafing, back pedaling, while still aiming abilities, almost twin-stick shooter like. Some of the movements and aiming, I just don't think will be possible with click to move. I'm all for it as I've never seen a more obsessed, elitist community behind how click to move is superior and throw a fit at the mention of wasd being implemented. With such full range of movement while still aiming, it's just not going to be possible with click to move. Imagine playing Nex Machina as a click to move title. Ain't happenin. I hope I'm wrong as I would prefer all methods of play to be equal, but even a controller is a disadvantage as well in a lot of ARPG's that allow it. Ground targeted spells for one are much worse on a controller.

Looks incredible. Only letdown was that the endgame is essentially the current league mechanics. Hopefully by full launch they’ll have a new league mechanic.

The story trailer was amazing. Can’t wait for launch!
