Seriously I've watched this show, I expected multiple times and recieved nothing but dissapointment, the cast of characters who hear/see shit that I don't. Oh man, that doesn't ever seem to get old. Now I just watch it for a laugh, I mean these guys "hear" things like in that lighthouse episode. Seriously what the hell.:lol

The show really sucks. The biggest evidence they have is that a chair was flipped upside-down in one of the episodes.

Anyways its on the Sci-Fi channel at night. I think on Thursdays.

Oh, I remember that episode now!

I saw a show of this, and I was trying to figure out what the hell it was. Were they being serious? OMG IT GOT COLD, OMG I FELT A PRESENCE!! How is this entertaining?

:lol Because you get to see a bunch of idiots screaming.

*Scream in the distance*
Then everyone runs over there and some guy is in a fetal position.

Yeah it's pretty boring, the reactions on them are priceless once one of their gadgets start to make a nosie and they act jump around and act like they won the lottery or something, I was like WTF nothing happened. It's like a giant cocktease you know a ghost didn't show up on the episode beforehand because if something did it would be all over the news before the episode could even air.

Tonights episode contained a guy complaining about pains on his side. What it was? Skin irritation caused by...HIM SCRATCHING HIMSELF. These guys don't even look like they believe their own shit. :lol :lol This show is good for laughs.

Honestly, the show is probably a failure because if there was actual shit going on, it wouldn't show up on camera.

Well, it's time for Bloodwake's ****ing creepy ghost stories.

One day, we were at a local defunct college, and we were taking pictures... and this showed up.. this was on one of the bottom floors and isn't even the creepiest part of the building.

See the shadowy part in the corner? Let's enhance that.

What the **** is that?

In the same building on the same night, we were in the attic of the building, and one of the window panels just randomly decided to fall out. The pane next to it had a fly on it... moving around in below freezing weather. It was extremely creepy. Not to mention the obviously audible footsteps from other places in the building whenever we were sure that we were the only people in the building.

Hold on guys, i'm hearing....what sounds like a little girls voice. Yes it is! Ok now I just felt something cold hit me. And oh man what is that, it looked like something moving. Oh man, it's......*SPOILERS*

Absolutely nothing

I watched it for a few episodes and then gave up when nothing happened. I think I saw an ep where they search a ship and a firehouse... did you feel that? What? It was like something brushed by me... meh.

Err.. Most Haunted (British) is a lot better. Tons of shit goes down in the old world. One episode, a friggin' gargoyle-looking thing with wings decended in the bushes. They didn't have explanation for it.. and just kinda moved on. Everything on the show could be faked, but they seem pretty genuine.

EDIT: http://youtube.com/watch?v=NpxGIsmj17k# <-- most convincing ghost video ever for those who are interested. There is a higher quality version if you look.

There are quite a few episodes where nothing significant happens. However, there was an episode from the end of the 2nd season I believe, where they were in a lighthouse, and there were shadow-like figures on the camera. One of them appeard to be above them on the stairs...zoomed to the top, and peered over at them from above.

That was some of the most convincing evidence I've seen on any of the "Ghost Hunter" type shows. they've had other small spots of luck also...but you'd have to watch all the shows to be around to catch them.

-edit-

Part of the premise of Ghost Hunters, is that they approach everything from being skeptical, and try to find a reason for phenomenon and try to disprove what people say they are hearing and seeing when they investigate...over the course of the show though, they do experience things they can't explain, and classify as paranormal. But coming from that perspective, no, they don't catch a ton of evidence...but when they do, I usually feel it's pretty solid.

I enjoy the Most Haunted from the UK also. I do feel though, that they are sometimes so charged and eager for things to happen that they are set off by small things that could be explained by real-world causes.

But they've also had some good shows where the TV's go on and off at the exact times that they will ask entities questions, etc. Although, because they use psychics, I can see how an atmosphere(on both sides of the etheral plane) can become pretty charged.

What the **** is that?

"It might be DOO-DOO..."

Sorry, had to.

You call some unexplained warm spot and shadows solid? The moving chair and the lighthouse episode evidence are the only solid pieces of evidence they've ever captured.

Uh, ya. That's what I said basically. The lighthouse evidence was pretty solid. Can I guarantee it's authenticity 100%? No. And nowhere did I say I bought in to every little cold spot and "feeling" of a presence.

You're entitled to your opinion. I will say this. Our worlds are all shaped by our own experiences, to believe what's real and what's not. Some people have had experiences that would allow them to believe something like that is possible, than someone who has not. And there's nothing wrong with that.

There are A LOT more serious and significant things in our universe that people believe without ever having laid eyes on than some harmless ghosts-if they do exist.

It's only a matter of time I believe with all these ghost hunter shows.. the psychics on Most Haunted say that they don't really appear that often, and often could be once a week to the occupants. Take the odds of them staying one night at a location and that is probably why it just isn't happening. I don't really need convincing, because I've seen my own proof, however the shows are interesting to watch.

It makes you wonder though, if one of these shows captured a full-on irrefutable apparition, would we find out about it on CNN/Webb before the episode was even aired? My guess is that they'd fast track that episode in the current season to the next show and build up a ton of hype around it.

I don't particularly believe in ghosts, as I would hope the universe has something more interesting than running around doing the same thing I did in life in mind for me after death if i'm concious. However the show does a decent job at documenting conditions, I saw one where they had a door keep opening when it was securely shut. They made an attempt to explain it the next day by trying to replicate it, having someone try to push the door. I liked it, at least it's a scientific approach, even if the people themselves "feel" presences thats not their evidence.

What am I missing about that clip in your link? I see some shit moving around back in the trees, but that could be some dudes in white t-shirts and we'd never know.

This is the problem I have with all the "evidence" to date. I believe, but part of me says I'm stupid for believing because all we ever see is half-assed shit like this that could really easily be faked. I want in-your-face proof. No wait, I don't want it in MY face, just somebody else's. On camera. :)

This is the best evidence from the show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7C7WlYCZGQ

For those of you who don't watch the show, they try everything they can think of to recreate the "big" stuff they find and they weren't able to recreate this at all. I think the apparition was actually on the other side of a locker, which is why it looks like he has a big 2 on him. It's been a long time since I've seen the episode, though. The video quality is shit, understandably. It looks a lot more convincing on tv :)

But, yeah. Not a huge fan of the show because I hate wasting an hour of my life only to have them report that they didn't really find any evidence to support the theory that the place is haunted.

there's some other interesting things that've happened to them. like the recording of the little girl saying, "can we come out and play?"

or when they were at the hotel and the guy was videotaping his room, the closet door opening in the middle of the night, the thick glass cup on his bedside table broke, and then the door closed.

and when the cameraman dude was just standing around and his camera bag flew up and hit him under the chin, knocking him out. i believe the video footage showed that nothing was shown that could cause the bag to shoot up like that.
