I don't frequent Tested, but aside from their takeover announcement, I've never seen or heard of Jamie doing anything with the site. Is it pretty much just Adam's Tested, or have I just missed all the Jamie?
He rarely outputs any content.

Pretty sure you can still do this, they just haven't bothered changing it in a while. At one point Rorie, or someone, made the pass "ifyoucanreadthisgofuckyourself". Had a hearty chuckle at that one.
Adamn actualy seems to be in to it. There no reason he should be in that mutch of taking part if it was for just the domain name.
Will said that Tested was pretty much a Berman Braun gift to The Mythbusters (Berman Braun is the company that produced their other show, Unchained Reaction).
So let's say you're a company that bought the entirety of the "Distillery", the Whiskey Media Content management and deployment infra structure (and don't fool yourselves, that's the part that they wanted, along with the Engineers, as the first order of business was re-design these other Berman Braun websites that had nothing to do with Tested or AnimeVice), along with two websites that were part of the deal: Gadget-but-not-really focused website that has a cult following and an Anime Website that practically runs itself for very little money, which also fills up some demographics on a PowerPoint end-of-the-fiscal-year presentation to some board of directors.
Let's say this same company made a new contract with The Mythbusters, a group of people that have been doing a successful science-oriented show for the past 10 years. You want this new project to be successful and to continue for more seasons, because it makes you a lot of money, but the main attraction of the show is these two dudes that already have money and another show to care about (believe me, I've seen "Unchained Reaction". Without those two, that show would be unbearable. It barely is with them in it). You also know that one of them wants to expand into different areas with different subjects related to science and technology not related to Mythbusters, but he doesn't really have the people or the infrastructure to do so. "Hey, let's "give" him this tested website as a toast of good will and a gift between friends!"
That show only had 6 middling episodes and, while it wasn't officially cancelled (yet), it didn't seem to do gangbusters. However, Berman Braun now has a constant and lasting relationship with the Mythbusters, and all they had to do was keep the site they already had and that was somewhat successful working - which they were already doing. Not only that, this website now has a bunch of new people vising it, thanks to the Mythbusters (Adam really) relationship.
Most of what I wrote here is pure conjecture by myself, but taking into consideration what Will said ("tested was a gift from Berman Braun to Adam") and the fact that even though Mythbusters has always been successful on the TV, Jamie and Adam themselves had almost no Internet representation (their Mythbusters website is clearly just corporate representation made by Discovery). Now they do, and it's filtered by Tested.
It was a great move. I'm sure there are also all kinds of contracts that were signed that made all of this make sense financially. "Business" is a crazy world. It says "Adam and Jamie's Tested" on the front, but it still says "Berman & Braun" on the bottom of their page. And on their office wall.
Will and Norm (and Gary I suppose) are friends with Adam. How crazy is that? I bet they didn't see that coming. Adam seems pretty cool from what I've seen on Tested.
Must be hard to not get star-struck by being in their presence though, sycophancy is hard to watch and to rein in.

Any word on a Thanksgiving membership sale this year yet? My sub just expired, wondering if I should hold off a few days.
I think Gary only met him once. Adam certainly seems friendly with the guys. They work well together. If Tested were to shut down I don't know that he would take their calls though.

I get this feeling that Jamie tolerates Adam just to get the show done. I doubt he wants to spend all his time with him.
I'm puzzles by this as well. Tested always seemed to be the weakest site to be premium (Tech sites are everywhere and often at better) and it hasn't gotten better since the take over.
To be fair, Gary is involved in the making of movies with special effects. Adam would probably take his call if it was work related. Will and Norm? Yeah they are just the hired help.
adam and Jamie are not friends, they don't socialise outside of work. they have a mutual work place relationship because they compliment each others skills. adam talked about it recently in one of the tested videos.
Tested has grown a lot in terms of views - but judging by the site, it seems to be via Youtube discovery and Adam's involvement. A video may get hundreds of thousands of views, but how many of them come back to Tested.com?
I dunno, to pull off that type of subscription model, you really need an engaged community. I think it'll be really difficult for them considering how much they lean on the Youtube generation and how much of a dichotomy there is between their most popular content, and most of the stuff on the front page of Tested.com.
No sure, I didn't mean Gary. I meant W & N are more work friendly with Adam. The guy is reasonably famous and must have a ton of hangers on. I bet there are very few people he knows from work who he would sociailse with outside that context.
You guys have a very low threshold for what you consider creepy. It isn't like we are writing some slash fiction here.

I have a friend (about 2 hours away though) that has a cabinet.set up - so I can do tha in the next few weeks.
I am planning on getting the console at some point the next few months - and a few others games too.

General question: How is the single player in this? I liked what I saw during the various streams the GB guys did, but I don't have anyone to play Neo Geo stuff with. I'd like to pick it up, but the asking price is kind of high, especially if the single player is weak.

It was ok, first 1/2 was mainly about steam greenlight and how its like to publish games as an Indie Dev (apparently Nintendo is the easiest platform to get your game on it?)
