The cricket game got straight up cancelled and anyone who bought it is getting refunds.

"As most people who have followed the project closely can affirm, the development of Ashes Cricket 2013 has been fraught with challenges almost from the outset. The chosen developer, even with their many years of cricket game development experience, was unable to overcome the unexpected challenges that the chosen game engine threw up, even with multiple extensions to the development schedule.

"At the start of the project, 505 Games received all assurances from the developer that the engine was up to the task of creating a dynamic, cutting-edge cricket game for the modern age across multiple platforms, and unfortunately those assurances were found to be misplaced.

"The net result of the challenges we have faced was a game which, despite our best efforts over the course of a two-year development, couldn't meet the quality benchmarks of either us, our licensors or our customers. 505 Games' main priority right now is to protect the Ashes name and that of the ECB and Cricket Australia, and do what we can to recompense the cricket community.

"As the licensee and publisher of name for Ashes Cricket 2013, 505 Games would like to apologise publicly and sincerely to our licensors, the ECB and Cricket Australia, and their respective partners/sponsors, who have been nothing but patient and supportive of us throughout the challenges this project has presented, and who, ultimately, we have let down.

"Our deepest apologies, however, are reserved for the fans of cricket and cricket games worldwide. 505 Games prides itself on being a safe pair of hands on which gamers of all tastes and denominations can rely to put their best foot forward to create compelling gaming experiences. It is clear that, in this instance, we have fallen way short of our stated aims and failed to deliver. We know that the mitigating factors, as highlighted above, hold little solace to the hordes of excited cricket fans worldwide who had hoped this year to be able to play out their fantasy of playing in the Ashes series.

"The people who purchased the game will be contacted very shortly with details of a full refund."

Since I bought a 3DS last week I'm rewatching all the 3DS quicklooks (now that I actually care for those games).

Man I forgot how much a clusterfuck the Ocarina of Time 3D quicklook is haha. How the hell can you get to the third dungeon without having a Deku Shield?

And of course the infamous "crate" moment haha.

I was wondering what post game level do they show off in the Mario 3D World quick look? Do they go past the
star world?

Patrick's cosplay interview was really interesting. I always like hearing people explain their passions for weird subcultures like that.

Also, another Thanksgiving, another reminder to watch the greatest (only?) Thanksgiving quick look ever: Story Hour Adventures.

Has anybody tweeted patrick to jump in on WoW? It's $5 for the game and all the expansion up until the last expansion and $10 for the last one, straight from Blizzard. So a total of $15.

He has talked about giving it a try lately and if there's a time to do it, I think now is the perfect time to do so.

What is the deal with wow? Is all that early game stuff lost after cataclysm? or is the same content just the map is changed? Seems like he might have missed the boat (by a couple of years).

The zones look different than they did in Vanilla (or before Cataclysm) and some of the quests have changed, but fundamentally, all the content is still there (and a lot of it is better than it was before). It's still a really fun game, especially if you have some friends who play it too.

All the quests are changed in the old world the Pamela quest is still there though. And the Belf and Squid Area are unchanged.

All the early level stuff has been modernized. ie. less shit. The trip to 90 might be a bit daunting at first glance for a new player, though.

Not really... It's so streamlined and easy nowadays that you can easily get from 1 to 90 in less time that it would have took you to go from 1 to 40 in vanilla.

Likley I am just being cheap but I don't think I could get interested as long as it has the monthly fee. That and any friends stopped playing it years ago.
