Giant Bomb - Extra Life 2015 | Give Money to Children's Hospitals

Can't believe I missed Vinny playing Paint the Town Red. Hopefully the archive goes up before too long. Sounds like it went ok though. It's stressful watching people you respect playing your game when it's in Early Access and still has a long way to go.
I can confirm that "paint" was spilled.

Purely as a viewer with no knowledge of the game, I think it looked pretty fun, if a little skeletal right now. (Expected of Early Access, I suppose.) The first question everyone is going to ask about it is "Is this a sequel to Thirty Flights of Loving?"

But yeah, keep up the good work, duder.

Dan always pimping is merch is pretty annoying.

I don't know how anyone can purchase a book about overcoming anxiety from a guy that's afraid of sour cream.

Thanks, that sounds good. Blendo/Thirty Flights/Gravity Bone comes up quite a bit which is fine.

So far people have really been enjoying what's there and seem excited for more which is great. User reviews and sales have been much better than expected with it currently being "Overwhelmingly Positive" with 96% positive reviews out of 500+ on Steam at the moment. I'm sure that will go down when more people buy it on sale and whatnot in the future and it isn't something they're actually interested in.

Plenty more content to come, I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out. It's also crazy that in this early state its sold more in 4 weeks than the last game I worked on before going indie sold in 2 months with a team of 100 people :/.

I don't know, I still hate Emily after all the playthroughs I've seen. The scene where she just gets shot right in the face is hilarious.

I wonder if this GamerGate donator is actually going to help spur more donations to drown the #gg messages off the screen.

In case you weren't already convinced they're scum, now they're fighting their battles in charity donation messages. I can't even.......

What's the end goal for that game? Will it just be going around starting brawls or will there be anything more to it?

Anyone that's #TeamEmily has never interacted with a rich SoCal girl who shops on Rodeo Drive. Really good job by the Until Dawn writers to make her likable in any way.

dave lang repping so hard in this stream my wife and I have been watching this Until Dawn endurance run after completing our own 24 hours for Extra Life. dude is holding it DOWN.

LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
Watching most of this playthrough of Until Dawn has been great. This is so much the type of game that I'd never ever play if left to my own devices, but I do like being able to experience the stories as well as character development and interactions.

The aesthetics of Until Dawn really makes me wish modern Resident Evil or Silent Hill looked like this. The camera angles are superb, especially.

There'll be more standard levels like the current ones set in different settings and time periods. Those levels will play out differently and there'll be a number of modifiers you can set to change them and their difficulty. The next level is a prison riot which will have lots of different ways it can play out and there'll be others that are fairly different like a viking mead hall.

The main mode we'll be adding to the game is the (for lack of a better descriptor) rogue-like mode with procedural levels, upgrades, persistent unlockables, etc. This is the main mode we've been planning since the start, but we're waiting for more content before adding it to Early Access.

All the modes will have online co-op also. I understand that it might look like a non-serious game and that there's a lot of garbage on Early Access, so it's nice to see people trying it and being surprised that it's well made and frequently updated.

Damn @ the bolded. Wow! Crazy is definitely the word for that.

The 'roguelike' stuff you mention in your other post makes PtTR sound right up my alley. I'll keep an eye on its development.

While I'm sure you were just trying to make a quick joke (and it was a pretty solid one), as someone who deals with anxiety, it is not something that is ever truly overcome. It's something you deal with, and sometimes you have to prioritize stuff like getting up and going to work in the morning over things like being able to eat sour cream.

D-Leazy is the first person I've seen fall for that.
Especially since the game basically specifically tells you about this only a few minutes earlier.
