I have no affinity towards Nintendo and their supply situation obviously sucks and is only made worse if they do the same dumb thing as last year and cut things off before people that actually want it can get it, but let's not kid ourselves I don't believe for a second that he would have made the article had he netted the pre-order lol.

I was watching on youtube and the chat was pretty rough. They normally disable chat on those streams, now I understand why.
The problem starts with Nintendo not manufacturing enough. That's for sure. But other than that I'd blame retailers. Bundling the SNES mini with worthless merchandise crap to get rid of stock for example should be illegal.

Like what? Made-to-order? I don't think the Snes mini is worth all that hassle for them. It's a little novelty item, not a console. Nintendo has next to no retail presence themselves, so they can't enforce one sale per customer either.
And again, I wouldn't base my opinion on this solely on how Nintendo of America/American retailers handled this. It's not super easy to get one in Europe either but it's not this nightmare you guys apparently have to suffer through.

I don't think it's used to discredit the point, just that it may have been selfish in creation heh.
People get hung up by the fact that it's supply-restrained in the first place. I have no idea why Nintendo does this (maybe their profit margin on those things isn't worth it or opportunity costs etc.) but that's how they want to sell those things. That understandably generates a lot of frustration and anger. Nintendo being THE nostalgia brand and all.

It's all about raising the profile of the brand.
Could totally be the case. But it would be a bit new for them. They typically can't meet demand for legitimate reasons. This power move would be pretty cunning for a traditional company such as Nintendo.
It all falls kinda flat though if there's no VC on Switch though. Still gets people talking about Nintendo for sure though.
This is literally my Bachelor's Degree. I'm not defending anyone. And I'm allowed to pre-order as many as I want. This is the open market. Not some socialist dystopia.

I saw the beastcast was 3 hours and got stoked. Then I remembered bakalar went to Texas for..some reason and Pat Baer is taking the seat and immediately got less psyched.
Over the last month or so I've grown to fully appreciate Bakalar. Come back Jeff

The 15 minutes of talking about PAX panels at the top of the podcast doesn't help either.
