I could use them as Christmas gifts. No idea if my cousin would be into it though. He's 8 and he grew up with 3DS and iPhone games. I don't think this would be that valuable to him. Maybe to his father though.
In any case. I don't need to defend myself for securing three pre-orders.

If you just want to hear people shitting on companies who have no clue how any of this works, there are plenty of Youtubers and posters here on GAF to follow instead. Give them a thumbs-up. Those evil companies, you really showed them who's boss.

He seems like a perfectly fine dude but I don't find him funny or interesting and he takes ages to express something that could be summed up in a sentence. Also the issue I have with a lot of comedy-adjacent people where they play into how funny they think they are and it sucks the life out of the room.

Dude, I have no interest in this. I literally studied business administration. I know more about manufacturing plans and supply chain management than others. Whatever the topic, I always bring that perspective into the conversation. If you don't care about that aspect, fine. Go to Youtube and watch people shouting their lungs out how much a company sucks. It's your free time, not mine.

Yeah, I love it here! The US system super sucks. Would be nice if everyone who wanted a SNES mini could have one, but that's not how it works. These are still companies.
There was a part where they talked about Hearthstone and when it was over I felt as if I lived my whole life and my childrens' whole lives and the lives of all other family and friends for whom their time was stolen as well by that segment and I just want our lives back

I was super into Hearthstone for a while (never to the degree of spending money though). Now I feel nothing. It's kinda dead to me.

listening to bomb's discussion when they profile a One X buyer and it's odd--I don't fit this profile at all, but I am still interested in the scorpio. I'm someone who has a Switch, a PS4 Pro, a 4k hdr TV, and a PC with a 970 in it. the pc is good enough to run some games at 4k, but I would definitely have to upgrade the gfx card in order to push 4k/hdr on most things. my PC isn't next to my TV, either. logically i should be putting that money into a 1080Ti and steam linking my pc to my living room, but the ease of spending less money on a beefy machine is very appealing to me...
essentially i just have this awesome TV now but nothing to really show for it, and the One X appears to be that device to fit the bill. or maybe I just want to buy the next shiny box, like Dan.

I haven't actually started the episode yet but beyond just liking Pat, I can't really complain about PAX plugs.
Both 404ing It and (obviously) League of Heels generally involve GB staff so it's not that weird to talk about them. And they've also been highlights of PAX East for me. In particular this past one (my second one) was actually during a bad week for me, and then as soon as the con started my phone suddenly decided to start deleting things I only had half a year old backups for (and was also not working correctly in general), which made things a lot worse. 404ing It was really chill and helped me calm down a bit and I'm thankful for that.

I just read it. I'm satisfied we at least got the story after all these years as it's been apparent for ages a true follow-up would never be released.
I'm basically in the same camp as you. But my PC is next to the TV and I've got a 770 instead of a 970.
I'd say go for the Xbox X. Sure, getting a better card might make more sense, but it's all about diminishing returns. Are you OK with "just" native 4K on a console or do you also want the best PC graphics? That's a huge jump in costs.
Even if your PC can display native 4K with the 1080, wouldn't the Steam Link lower the picture quality anyway?

PAX does nothing for me but I like to see some cool highlights. Other then that I could do without. However, I'm glad it brings joy to other people and to the crew since they meet up with friends and shit within the industry.
Definitely the worst beastcast in a loooong time.
That Reggie bit was pretty good.

I am not that into PAX either, probably because I don't have the opportunity to attend and watching panels via stream is not always ideal.
I do enjoy League of Heels though because the crew really seem to enjoy themselves doing it and it's just a dumb chaotic mess.
