Giant Bomb |OT32| I've been meaning to love a boat

I mean, if they're gonna watch a movie with oom in the title and it's not The Room, it's obviously gotta be:

The Rock is so fuckin cheesy and hilarious in that film

BOTW is a really good game... but it's not even the best Zelda.

Mario / Rabbids is great so far.

Mario Odyssey looks like it will be great too but let's not get overhyped by a few trailers now m8.

I want more than 3 games in 12 months, regardless of how good those 3 games are.

There are more than 3 games on the Switch. Hyperbole weakens your point.

There's a few quality of life issues with Mario + Rabbids that can be improved:

1. Let me aim aoe attacks on the ground instead of targeting a specific enemy.

2. Let me roll back movement commands just in case of accidental misclicks.

3. Tell me the amount of turns for par before I start the battle.

4. Tell me how many battles in succession there are before I start any particular chapter.

5. Let me save loadouts of my skill build/weapon selection.

If they did those things, it would honestly be up there amongst the strategy game greats.

I like the idea of them doing another Twin Peaks film as a followup to season 3. I'd love a season 4, too, but another movie seems like an appropriate Lynch/Twin Peaks swerve.

They should really put it out on PC imo

I don't care about 3 and 4 that much, but the other ones are big, yeah. 2 in particular can be really annoying given how much messing up a single turn's sequence of moves can very easily lose the entire battle for you.

I also wish you could aim aoe weapons at enemies that will spawn on the next turn because they're in the ground, but that's not as big of a deal.

Also let me aim directly at the effects boxes littered around the field (although 1 would partially fix this)

Any thoughts on The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer? I'm currently working my way through season 2 for the first time and wasn't sure if I should read that before starting season 3.

Worth reading, but very non-essential. No great revelations, doesn't have much bearing on season 3. The audiobook is read by Sheryl Lee, though!

I'm not actually clear on whether it's canonical. I think it is?

As far as I've heard it is softcore porn invented to give David Lynch's daughter a paycheck.

I do not believe it is considered canon.

I keep seeing people talking about misclicks in Mario + Rabbids. How often is this happening to you? It happened maybe 2 time during my playthrough.

The things I remember about this film are:
-The first person sequence being one of the highlights of the film
-The Rock becoming a demon because why not
-"Semper Fi Motherfucker. Loyal to the corps" being one of the best lines of dialogue ever spoken in a film
-The movie as a whole being shit.

Film and 40s would be fun.

Not often, but I have to be more cognizant of it than I'd like. It happens more when I'm trying to target the edge of a cliff, because sometimes I can't see the target clearly because of how many parabolas there are on screen with the amount of multidashes/teamjumps you start creating in the 2nd half of the game.

It's happening twice to me and I'm about halfway through World 2. Although I'll readily admit it's user error, it just makes me be more deliberate than I usually am. Still, it would be nice to be able to take it back

It's ok but a lot of it was uncomfortable to read given the material and her age at the start of it. Certain parts also very much read like an adult trying to sound like a kid.

That being said it helps establish more of a timeline for the events leading up to her death (even if it's not necessarily canon) and it's interesting to see what's reused/brought up in FWWM and what seems to have been dropped, like
her apparently sleeping with Josie and the implication that Ben had been grooming her
.

Watched that Sonic Forces story trailer. At this point I hope they just go all in and introduce the obligatory shadow organization of moody people standing around in black Bleach robes.

I've mistakenly confirmed actions a number of times and in my case I think it's simply the fact that I haven't played enough Nintendo consoles in recent years to have 100% internalized the A/B positioning. (Though it's weird that I practically never get tripped up with X/O in Japanese PS games.)

I'm guessing because the slide and jump mechanics can damage enemies and at times change their positions, it would take a bit of work to reverse enemy health damage and positions to the state it was before you moved.

Yeah I think they could probably save the positions before moves and work backward without too much trouble, but that's fair enough. I'd at least like a reverse move if it's your first click, i.e. it's an open spot and not either a slide or jump

I've misclicked movement a decent amount of times due to jumping/multiple pipe uses and such. Also when switching between closely positioned characters multiple times to plan something and then doing the final movement on the wrong one.

I don't remember if they were for or against it, but because of them I tried Skyline Chili, and man was it terrible.

Like god damn.

I just don't get Destiny. It's such a popular feeling to have, but I literally don't get what's enticing about replaying missions over and over again and interacting with dozens of loot/coin/upgrade systems.
