Gigabyte MO27Q28G 4th Gen WOLED Release Date and Pricing Confirmed

Finally! I've been waiting for the new Tandem technology.

The eagerly awaited Gigabyte MO27Q28G now has a confirmed global release date and pricing, courtesy of an update we've received today from Gigabyte. The screen will be released worldwide on 30 September 2025 at a global retail price of $499 USD (before tariffs). That makes it extremely competitively priced for a brand new, 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem WOLED panel.

You are a fucking legend for posting this as I had no clue about this.

I actually just bought the Alienware AW2725Q 4K OLED and while I love it, I think this actually fits my needs much better. 4K is too heavy on my 4070S, plus it has better brightness specs, speakers, and still retains all the features the Alienware had because of HDMI 2.1 for my consoles. Plus $499 is even cheaper then the $550 I got the Alienware for.

Looks like I'll be returning two monitors in one month... lol (I bought the ASUS 32 4K240 and returned it for the Alienware prior).

Heck yeah. I knew this was coming for a while and have been waiting!

That's interesting, and thank god it's matte, many of the OLED I've been looking at lately were glossy. I know people love glossy on OLED, and while on a TV it can be manageable, on a monitor I really want to avoid glossy and prefer matte, don't want to be in the dark all the time.

Will wait for reviews.

What is a Tandem OLED??? They just inventing new words out here huh

It's a new generation panel that duplicates one of the light emitting layers (i.e. tandem) which primarily acts to increase brightness and reduces the risk of burn in because the panel can be driven at lower power/voltage levels to achieve the same or better brightness. I think they also changed the colors of some of the emission layers as well which improves color performance somewhat.

Any cool non-OLED monitors coming up? I tend to work on my monitor as well, so OLED is not an option.
Could you use cheap LED monitor for text and an OLED for content in a dual monitor setup? Actually, I might do that...

But if that's not an option, they are still making really nice IPS monitors for a good price.

Is text clarity still a problem? It's crazy that OLED, while being praised all the time, has such glaring issues.
Last time I checked (2022), it was still a problem (imho). And burn-in is also still a problem, even if the OLED-fanboys like to downplay this with all the "maintenance features" they got.

I am thinking about this as well. But I am a bit worried about contrast and color differences when I look from one monitor to the other. Not sure how annoying that would be.

Asus ProArt line is the way to go Asus ProArt PA32QCV 6K!
I will check that out! Thanks, man!

On the inverse you also have the people who are always trying to downplay OLED because there is a small possibility of burn in.

This isn't 1st gen OLED you almost have to be negligent to get burn in nowadays. I've never don't anything besides hide my task bar in Windows in over a year of having an OLED monitor primarily in games with HUDs like BF, and over 3 years of using my LG C2 every single day.
