Then I saw 7 Nation Army as a featured song on iTunes. Found almost a full-length .wmv on a UK site...listened. Nice ideas, mind you, but a complete fucking joke. Why do people keep covering White Stripes songs, only to fail miserably? Is there a contest in the album industry to see who can mangle a Jack White tune the quickest?

Because it sure damn seems that way.
