After I decided not to finish Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, I needed something to quench my gaming thirst. I went to the store and found Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee staring at me with the low price of $19.99. Being the Godzilla fan that I am, I sat there wondering "why don't I own this yet?" I took my new treasure home and began to play some multiplayer battles, and I am delighted to say this game is FUN!
GDAM is basically Rampage on 'roids. The chaos and destruction is delicious. The controls are responsive and easy to learn, and the game appears reasonably well-balanced so far. The game is simple in design, and extremely entertaining. It is amazing how well the team at Pipeworks captured the feeling of Godzilla and Friends duking it out within well-populated areas.
I also started the adventure mode, and the computer-controlled characters are pretty good. So far I have been on the edge of my seat on many of the battles. There are plenty of characters and cities to unlock and lots of modes, so this game will keep me busy for awhile.
Finally, it must be said that the game has without question the greatest power-up ever to be appear in a video game: MOTHRA AIR STRIKE! :lol
Anyone else have this sweet game?
