I've been having trouble with some newer anime AVI's using VLC player (Windows, 0.7.2), and was wondering if there was another / better one out there I should be using.

BSplayer or Zoomplayer.

and make sure you have the K-lite codec pack.

I grabbed BS Player + FFDShow and that K-Lite codec pack, and found out the files I'm trying to play are corrupt... but BS Player is much nicer than VLC, so I'll stick with that.
