Just picked up a Palm Zire 21 off ebay, and was wondering if anyone has recommendations as to some good freeware for it.

Particularly keen on phrasebook-style software, as I'll be travelling a fair bit with it, or planning/itinerary applications

PalmFiction -- Document reader, capable of reading all kinds of text files directly off the memory card... without conversion. You can read those Palm Document files OR real .TXT files. Quite handy.

Plucker -- Computer/Palm combo that allows you to download web pages (and documents) and read them on the go. Works great. Try it with my Nintendo Code Book file -- a nice hypertext collection of game codes/tips/tricks for all Nintendo platforms. (Too bad I haven't found a way to make any money off of it!)

CliFrotz -- Zcode game interpreter. Play all sorts of lovely text adventures (check out The Interactive Fiction Archive for games.)

MyCheckbook -- nice checking account program.

Handyshopper -- Technically a "shopping list program," but used as a general purpose database/checklist. I use it to keep track of my video game collection.
