I just finished reading "Masters of Doom : How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture" and absolutely loved it...

I've also read:

Power-Up : How Japanese Video Games Gave the World an Extra Life
- pretty good (but neglected Sega way too much)

The Ultimate History of Video Games: From Pong to Pokemon--The Story Behind the Craze That Touched Our Lives and Changed the World
- didn't really enjoy

So, does anyone have any other suggestions?
