I've played hot shots golf a lot on the ps2 and I was looking if there was something like it on the xbox and all I ended up with was outlaw golf wich doesn't look that great. For you golf gamers out there, what's the best golf games on the xbox for someone who enjoys hot shots golf a lot? Maybe I'd be ready to give a real golf game a try but keep in mind that I'm a novice so it would need a good learning curve, thanks for the suggestions my friends.

Links is THE golf game. It doesnt have the same charm as hot shots but it makes up for it with realism and all that jazz.

Links is a lot of fun, but it is a bit too easy. But that makes it really great to play with friends who don't play golf games, because they can actually compete. The scene where you hit the ball hard and it shows the little sonic waves around it... that gets REAL repetitive though.

Its not easy on the hardest difficulty, its easy if you have all the guides on.

Outlaw Golf for me. I particularly like the putting, even though it seemed weird at first after many hrs of Hot Shots.

Hmm I dunno even on the harder modes I found Links to be easier than Tiger Woods... of course, I don't play real golf at all, so for all I know Tiger features artificially enhanced difficulty, and Links is spot-on... dunno.

I prefer links overall.. but I sure wish it had some of the presentation of Tiger! Things like when a put or a chip (especailly from far) is going to be really close, and it shows your golfers eyes narrowing.. and the controller beats like a heart. Thats pretty cool

Links is the better game, but it is a bit more boring

Outlaw Golf 1 & 2 are very fun games. Lots of humor with a very solid golf engine behind it.

Links 2004 is the best available golf game on Xbox. It's all golf though... no humor involved. Whoever said that the game is easy needs to get off the crack pipe or at least move up from the beginner level.

I ran a tournament with Links 2004 (on XSN). On the last round I cranked up the difficulty settings threw in a bit of wind and no one came close to hitting par.

Geeze, I didn't say it was EASY, just that I found it easier to play than Tiger Woods. Its not like your getting eagles on every green or anything... but I just found it was a bit harder in Tiger.. especially the putting. And I certainly acknowledge that Links the best golf game.. just that Tiger was a bit more fun.

To my knowledge there isn't a Japanese golf game with cutesy big-headed characters and a simple-yet-fulfilling control system for XBox

Links 2004 was very bland IMO, and while it may be the most realistic golf game out there for consoles, it's way too f'ing hard trying to play it with meters turned off.

Pick up one of Tiger Woods games, even if EA is evil and gay!
