Do people actually go to the Google homepage anymore to do anything besides look at what the logo looks like on special days?

I'd assume most people just type into a browser's search box.

I never use the browser's search box. I either go to the homepage or use the Firefox address bar (since it uses Google to search anyway).

I understand that for non-US citizens, there's nothing much we can do about it. Which is frustrating because I know this will affect the rest of us if it's implemented.
 
My god that Twitter CEO tweet is idiotic.

He's scared of losing people to Google+!

Yea, if Twitter, Google, and Facebook shut down for a day in protest, it would definitely cause waves.

I'm fairly confident in saying that if they did that for 24 hours, they wouldn't lose people, but would in fact raise awareness about this bill to an unprecedented level that no media icon could ignore or be condescending towards.
