Yeah, Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach was a little uninspiring and bland but White Flag is spectacular. The sort of middle eastern orchestral thing they have going in that track is so fucking sweet, and the rapping is great.

I still find it pretty amazing that this didn't leak ahead of time (I'm not counting NPR as a leak, plus we're like a day away from the official Japanese release). That's quite a feat these days.

Seriously impressed at how well this badboy flows. White Flag -> Rhinestone Eyes -> Stylo <3
Tracks are really brisk and seamless. I kind of like it streaming as whole, rather than having "track ending" spaces, you know?

I have a feeling that everything after track 6 is going to be awesome.

Kinda like everything starting after Dirty Harry on Demon Days.

Totally agree. This is really great so far. I'm really digging White Flag more in the context of the album, compared to my first listen (radio leak).

This album :D

Man, the first half of Empire Ants is just gorgeous, up there with some of the best Blur ballads like 'Out of Time'. Lovely change of pace after the speed and intensity of the previous few songs.

I'm right here too. Probably the best song yet, goddam.

pristine morning snow
Only about halfway through, but I'm genuinely surprised that I like it so far. The other Gorillaz albums were... not to my liking at all, outside of one or two tracks on each.

A little lukewarm on Glitter Freeze, but Some Kind of Nature is pure fun pop music of the highest order, Lou Reed (i think it is him, at least) is excellent on it, really great.

On Melancholy Hill wowowowow. So simple and laid back, effortlessly wonderful; maybe the best track so far.

Ohhhh, well you wait till you start the stream straight again and get White Flag blasting into your ears again, man.

but yeah, can't believe how chilled out the album is, unexpectedly awesome.
