Why wouldn’t they? It has happened to me as well and doordash rightfully credited my account for what I paid for my order. Its not the customer’s fault for the fuckup.

You can’t just give the wrong food back to the dasher lmao. Doordash has no exact control over what & when the dasher is doing nor does it have quality control over what the customer does to the other customer’s food. Crediting your account is the only realistic solution.

Guess I didnt read the first sentence lol that is weird. Chalk it up to doordash customer support having canned responses to any order issues a customer might have, they probably auto credit all customers who report “received wrong order” without taking a more granular look at the problem. Any chatroom person you speak to is prolly in India…

From my personal experience with Doordash drivers sometimes just don't give a shit.
I ask for the food to be handed to me and most of them don't even look at me with their faces on their phones.

I ordered McDonald's and got some Uber Eats sushi thrown at my doorstep instead.
Another time I had 2 failed deliveries but customer support was cool & 3rd time was the charm.

On a total of about 20 orders I guess it's not too bad but when you're paying through the nose in fees I expect at minimum decent service.

if that happened to me i'd wait and see if anyone turned up for it. if not then it's free food. they can't do shit. i don't know wtf doordash is but here in the uk the likes of justeat/deliveroo won't have any proof of delivery. if the delivery person takes it to the wrong door then tough shit. the restaurant needs to sort it out. likely the person called up and got another delivery out. the driver will be pulled up but maybe they should do their job better.

IIRC she put in the wrong (ie mine) address so she knew where to go. She was cute, but the wife was home so no extra bow Chica now wow sausage for her if you know what I mean
