Nah, they went cross gen and only dropped last gen versions a few months before launch. The game is still built and designed around last gen limitations which is why it looks even worse than 2015's Arkham KNight.

I agree the music in the trailer is a weird choice though, I don't like this trend of trailers trying to be "cool".
One thing I really like in the recent footage we saw is that the city actually has pedestrians now, you can see civilians, cops, cars etc, it adds something I always wanted before, because in the Arkham games it was always just you and the ennemies. I know the context can somehow explain it, but here I think it's better balanced from what I've seen, the streets are dangerous, but it's not a ghost town with no one in it.

His credits are not extensive, mainly Splinter Cell Blacklist and Far Cry 2. I hope it turns out to be pleasantly surprising but from what I've seen I'm not sure that will be the case.

I think there is too much hate going around for this game because it's not Batman. To me it looks fairly ambitious, the visuals are good, the voicework, design, etc.
Combat looks just OK, but serviceable. It's also an open world, which is not easy to pull off, and they are supporting several playable characters which is not always easy in terms of balance.
Cautiously optimistic, mostly getting this for co-op.

I'm starting to look forward to this game, I hope it is fun.
I do think the the biggest gripe might be changing counter to dodge, but then again character combat looks a little more fleshed out from Arkham Knight otherwise, so hopefully characters feel unique and interesting.

In the begining i was genuinely annoyed at this game for the amount of changes it did to the arkhamformula but in time I warmed up to it and now I have it preordered and I'm ready to go.I think as soon as you let go of your thoughts of it as an Arkham game and take it as a new thing the dissapointment goes away and it becomes an interesting take on the batuniverse what with him apparently being dead as well as Jim Gordon,and Joker nowhere to be seen and with the Court of Owls taking center stage it has potential to provide some really awesome moments.

Been years since I heard Yeah Yeahs and holy shit, this is so good. Game's existence redeemed.
Anyway, yeah graphically it looks strangely underwhelming but if the writing is good and gameplay is competent, it can be a fun game. I will wait for discount or gamepass though, my slate is full.
