Yummers, and I'm hoping this release date sticks. So many delays.

But I guess Konami has made it up by dropping the msrp to $29.99. I can't wait to suck at playing this game.

only another couple weeks until the import hits. heeheeehee. some people at the shmups forum have gotten their hands on early copies; everything sounds very encouraging. bucking modern shooter trends, it's apparently 7 levels long and lasts upwards of an hour...looks like treasure have turned out another silvergun-sized epic. can't wait.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Isn't it some History of Gradius thingy with concepts and stuff like that? I guess I'll never find out how to make my own Vic Viper...

the bonus "options" dvd isn't all that impressive anyway - it just consists of snippets from the gradius V perfect dvd, which is sold separately, and is of course way too expensive. it only comes with japanese preorders, so it might be hard for importers to track down...play-asia is offering it with the korean version, but not the japanese version. the booklet will apparently ship with all copies of the game's first printing. which is nice.

no shit...that's amazing. sakimoto's my absolute favorite game composer, and i particularly enjoy his work on silvergun and soukyugurentai. it's about time he scored another shooter. from what i've heard of the soundtrack, it actually suggests zuntata a bit...certainly a departure from sakimoto's usual styles.
