RTX Remix once again demonstrates its potential with the latest update to the GTA IV mod released today.
This mod adds Path Tracing, which means a significant improvement in global illumination, shadows, reflections, ambient occlusion, and the behavior of materials with respect to lighting.
The difference is simply stunning in some areas, achieving results that rival current games visually.
Needless to say, the requirements are extremely demanding. An RTX 5090 was used in this video.
There are some details that still need improvement, such as water, materials, and some light sources. The weather is also somewhat irregular.
The mod's creators are still working on it, refining the lighting and improving the geometry and texturing.
Thanks to RTX Remix's Runtime, the graphics settings are fully adjustable, with the added possibility of implementing DLSS and Frame Generation.
RTX Remix is the future of modding in video games. It is a tool ahead of its time that will continue to bring us joy like this in the future.
