GTA: San Andreas PC HELP!

So i bought GTA:SA for the PC yesterday and after about an hour and a half of messing around; reinstalling sounds card & video card drivers, uninstalling and installing the game it all appeared to be ok. I completed the first mission, but when i went to save my pc reset. I launched the game again and the pc would reset at random points in the game.

Turns out that was a sound driver issue and i have fixed that. Now the game wont load at all. I click all the icons and nothing happens.

Anyone have any ideas what could cause this? I know from looking at other boards that this isnt an isolated incident.

Anyone having similar issues? Or know how i can fix this? Or even care in the slightest?

Thanks

What the hell are you running? Windows 98? Seems like your PC is a buggy mess. I don't know what kind of hardware you have or what OS you're running but whatever it is, your machine sounds like it's in need of a nice reformat and reinstall.

Format your hard drive and start from scratch, its clear your computer is totally boned from all the stupid crap you put in it.

It crashed on me all the time so I turned sound acceleration down by going to start/run and type dxdiag than click the sound tab. Turn it to no acceleration. If its stopped loading copy your save files in the my documents folder and reinstall it.

Thanks for all the 'help' but that is not the issue. My Video drivers where out of date and there is a know fault with GTA: SA PC that required me to change my audio drivers(realtek audio drivers cause lock ups and crashes, and that has fixed that particular issue) . Its a relativley new PC and there is nothing on it that shouldnt be. I've only use about 50gbs or my 200bg HD and that mainly music, and a couple of games.

I have played the game twice since i updated my audio drivers so thats not the issue.

Rockstar are shit.

too bigNman: Thanks but i've tried that twice and still no luck.
