Gungrave G.O.R.E - Bullets Beauty Badass Trailer

NeoGAFs Kent Brockman

In Gungrave G.O.R.E, play the gun-wielding badass anti-hero of your dreams as you mow down tons of enemies in a gory ballet of bullets and experience a story of vengeance, love and loyalty, all in a beautiful third-person action shooter, combining the best that Eastern and Western game design have to offer.

As the titular Gunslinger of Resurrection, you become the badass anti-hero of your dreams, an ultimate killing machine, brutalizing your foes without mercy. Taking cover and retreating is not an option for Grave, he only ever goes full steam ahead, preferably right through his enemies.

Grave returns in 2022.

Really uninspired, bad graphic style, technically poor... it will be an announced flop and above all it seems to me a strange 'westernisation' of the franchise.

The fact that they pretty much kept the gameplay from the PS2 games makes this game a day one for me, not every TPS has to be based around taking cover over and over again.

Noticed the page was updated on Amazon with the November release date. Not getting it at launch since it's so close to Ragnarok, but defiantly one to pick up later if it turns out well.

It's big draw is that you shoot guns? Like every other game out there? Come on. There wasn't even any gameplay section in that trailer longer than half a second.

Strong meh.

I think the big draw is that it's another Gungrave entry. I'm a sucker for the PS2 games and the anime, so this'll be a day one buy for me.

For newcomers to Gungrave, I can definitely see the lack of gameplay videos being a huge turnoff. This'll very much be a game on the scale of something like Shenmue 3, an old niche series that comes back with a shiny polish on an old formula that isn't looking to reinvent the wheel, with gameplay that will more than likely feel dated.

Yeah, I actually had no idea this was an entry into an existing franchise. Them not showing the gameplay loop (already established) makes a lot more sense. Thanks for enlightening me. I'll check out some of the older games

New trailer if not already posted:

Thanks for posting, it looks like a lot of fun. Considering there's a team, I wonder if we'll be able to play through the game as multiple characters, like in Gungrave Overdose. I'm also interested in seeing if they bring back Rocketbilly Redcadillac and Juji Kabane (since him and Bunji are brothers).
