after all these years, i finally got past level 20 in H.E.R.O. (one of the best atari 2600 games) I wish there had been a sequel to this... such a great game, especially for it's time... but it's good even now. the thing that was stopping me for all this time was that series of red hot ceilings that you had to fly under while avoiding the lava and the tentacle creature. there are like 4 in a row and each one used to kill me at least once, eating all of my lives.

next goal... 1 million points. according to some web site "if your score reaches one million points the game ends and a surprise is implied."

i can't imagine why anyone would respond to this thread, but i hope someone out there is inspired to play H.E.R.O. if they haven't already.

Heh, I had this game for my C64. I thought it was cool, but never got the hang of it.
