I'm sure this has been covered already, but in the five CD retail version, what does it come with? Just Half Life 2? Not even Half Life: Source?

I'm weighing the $36 Outpost.com order vs. the Steam Silver option...

No HL: Source. But people think you should be able to buy that on Steam for 10 bucks or so. I'm sticking with my Outpost order.

Nobody has confirmed whether or when HL: Source will be available by itself over Steam.

Silver really is the best value.

Why would anyone want to pay for HL:Source? They barly upgraded anything, It looks pretty much the same as the original.

well it's not really just hl:s you'd be getting, it would be the rights to all of the "back catalog", so whatever else they decide to put out. i'd say thats worth an extra 10 bucks.
