Half Man | Official Trailer | HBO Max

Understandable. This looks interesting is at least worth a look. Baby Reindeer was excellent.

Below Deck season 8 has just aired, might be more your cup of tea.
You really are a weird human being

Like... painfully unlikable

Ahoy there sailor 🛳⚓

Watched the first 5 mins or less. It seemed like some gay activities were about to kick off, so I turned it off. Not for me.

Based on the first episode it is somewhat similar to Baby Reindeer: it's a fucked up situation the main character tries to cope through the best he can.

Also there is quite a bit of similar duality between the main character and his brother in law as there is in Fight Club between its two main characters.

Yeah I watched the first episode last night, tough watch but interesting.

Also when did Billy Elliott get so old?

After watching the second episode I think the main character is like a lost puppy seeking the approval of those around him and his brother in law being the most assertive person he flocks around him.

The main character is lost with no spine of his own, a chameleon trying to survive his best with each person coming round to him.

So far I think the show is not about being gay. So far I think the show is about close relationship violence, losing your father at a young age and how that affects you, loss of identity, having no one to show you how to form an identity, some sort of Stockholm syndrome and deep shame and guilt.

But yes. There is also gay stuff in it. But so far I don't think that is the main point of the story. I could end up being wrong though.

Oh yeah and a huge point of it is also NOT having to take responsibility your self: the main character just calls "the devil he knows" rather than deals with the changing circumstances in his life so that he DOES NOT have to take responsibility of his life OR to get to form his own free standing identity.

He can't deal with taking responsibility the slightest.

you mean gay club

Does anyone know which day the new episodes drop? Is it on Saturdays?

Looks like it's Thursdays. Although that's for BBC on iPlayer. Not sure if it's different for your location/service.

Found the airing dates from Wikipedia:

I guess there's only four episodes in total or they don't have all the info yet.

Edit: For some reason I cannot find the airing dates on HBO. Weird since that is one of the most basic functionality when considering TV programs. I guess streaming has changed the standards.
