Apparently she still wants to be a part of the Xmen franchise, but wants Storm to be more like the comicbook character ...good point.

XMenFilms had a quick chance to talk with actress Halle Berry about the current status of X-MEN 3.

Berry told XMF that she has not read the script yet, but if she is to return as Storm the character would need to be much closer to the comic book character or she is not interested in being in the film. She said, "I love Storm, and really want to be part of the last film."

HA where was that judgement when you read the script for catwoman????

Which Storm? You mean Storm that's leading an X-team? No f'n chance ho. You mean Punk Rocker storm? Ha I'd love to see Halle in that getup... ;)

Maybe she wants to be more 'African Weather Goddess' Storm.

Hell the comic book character isn't even African Weather Goddess Storm anymore... her heritage hasn't been at the front of a Storm story in years.... Halle needs to get it in her head the real... the main characters of X-Men stories in this time period(that the movie is following) are Scott, Jean and Wolverine... everyone else is window dressing... the sooner she deals with that, the better.

Ding!

Need you any more reasons to stop reading that shit?

Corporate Comics will continue to drag it's properties through the gutter.

I am to comics nerds, as Drinky Crow is to Lucas whores.

Unfortunately I'm a lot less articulate and persistent. :P

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Methinks she doesn't realize just how insignificant her character is to the story at this point. Just find an excuse to make it snow, let us see your hardened nipples, then get out of the way for the Wolverine/Jean Gray/Phoenix storyline we actually give a damn about.

Since she won't get her way .. let's cast the next Storm.

As much as I despise here ... Jada Pinkett Smith would fit the role.

I oughta shove Jada Pinkett Smith up your ass for even thinking she could ever be Storm.
Angela Bassett is Storm. She turned down the role once. We're screwed.

I agree. Jada is an AWFUL actress. The only role in recent memories where she wasn't too bad (and that's because of her minimal screen time was collateral). She's god awful. Naobi? :lol

I agree with Angela Bassett. She should have taken it though. Bet she's kicking herself for missing out on the paycheck.

* EVEN JLO would have made a cooler Storm than Jada or even Halle Berry.

Let's just shove Beyonce in a Storm costume. Her character should get younger, hotter, and talk less with each iteration.

Son of a bitch, I thought she wasn't going to be in it. And after Catwoman, she thinks she can make choices? Of course she's gonna want the character to be more like the comic after, you know, Catwoman. Bitch.

Why is it anyone cares about Halle Barry anymore? How long has it since she's played a decent role in anything at all? Honestly.

Most overated pile of shit to ever be put to film. I won't shed a tear when she's gone.

Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Halle Berry is now gonna fuck up my memories of Foxy Brown(she's got the starring role in a remake)... <Sigh> :( :(

are you going to assassinate her? :thumbsup! I wish she'd do a Natalie wood and drown

I'd do it for a 26'er of Captain Morgan's spiced rum and a pack of smokes.

Thing is, for Storm it wasn't only about the physique. Any fool can shave his head bald and act from a wheelchair, but only Patrick Stewart nailed Xavier. Anybody can wear the costume, but Angela would've nailed Storm's strength and grace. None of the other names mentioned can make me believe they are queen of the world. Halle couldn't even hit one line, and forgot to have an accent by the end of the first movie.
Storm should be left out of future movies. She's inconsequential in the movie-verse. If Pixar can do Sully, Beast can be done.

The problem with Storm's character in the movies is that she's lacking the ego of the comic character. Storm was always a tough lady and basically talked like she knew more than you, because she did. She was worshipped as a goddess, after all. That major aspect of the character has not been shown in the movies at all, and I have to blame (my precious) Halle for that as much as anyone. Regardless of the script, (my precious) Halle plays Storm so meekly and blandly that I can't imagine any moviegoers give two shits about the character. And with all the religious banter with Kurt in X2, I can't believe Storm didn't speak up and say SOMETHING about her past.

Yes she was worshipped as a goddess but that isn't integral to the stories being told in the movies... EXCEPT for yup the point reference in your last sentence... that would have been the prime chance for Kurt and Ororo to have a religious conversation probably not too long after he was found, or during a quick flight on the X-Jet... Kurt doubts himself, wonders if he's going to hell, etc... Ororo brings up.. you know I was worshipped as a god once... and if I were your god... I'd bring you up with me... etc. ;)

I'm not saying they should tell her origin story or give her some kind of subplot, but her history forms her personality, which doesn't come across at all in the movies. It would have worked great if she had acted like Storm (haughty, super confident, etc.) since the first movie and then some of the cause for her attitude was quickly revealed in the conversations with Kurt...but no, we got nothing. Storm is just a pretty face in these movies.

Eh, to hell with Storm, what we need...IS A COMIC CROSSOVER.

Dare-Devil! Now with unsightly crotch bulge.

"Hey bitches, I'm DareDevil. W...where's the bathroom?"

A REAL possibility for an accurate Storm...
