Halo 2 exclusively on..Vista !

The only importance of this title is the possible integration of Xbox Live in pc's, though I doub Halo 2 on pc will make use of the same servers...

:lol man what a bunch of drama queens. Anyone who is remotely into PC gaming will surely upgrade to Vista eventually with or without Halo 2.

Hah, GAF. There's no place like it.

This isn't really news, just a blip on the radar.

By the way, people have been claiming that PC gaming is dead since before some of you were born, yet every year it still remains alive...

Either you think this forum is a collection of 10 year olds, or people were announcing the death of PC gaming in 1982 (or before). So you have the first RPGs, platformers, simulations, and adventure games. How was that dead?

Basically every time a new console comes out, I hear people proclaiming PC gaming is dead ra ra ra etc.

I personally think the PC is a great platform for small developers to take a risk, if it does well it gets a port.

Yes (at least, they behave like 10 year olds) and yes.

And I didn't say it was dead, but people have been proclaiming it's death for a very long time.

Same goes to you, marketing tool. Go back to TXB where you belong.

I'd actually prefer the tag "Marketing Tool" to my current one.

And your ridiculous Xbox bashing is why you should be banned.

So is your ridiculous viral marketing. If you stop that I'll stop as well.

What you see is viral marketing is really a constant summarization of the same points for a forum composed largely of people who don't own the console or its predecessor.

I think the users on this forum can be very intelligent and for the most part have constructive and informative discussions. These discussions sometimes lead to interesting and/or relevant conclusions that provide insights into the gaming industry.

When the forum fails to live up to that standard, we have users who like to paint an entire sector of gaming as substandard or redundant. Unfortunately, the Xbox platforms have received the lion's share of those useless criticisms.

I happen to enjoy the Xbox, and will not make an untrue statement about another platform if I know better. I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade, and I don't care what sort of bargain you want to strike with me. If someone posts something blatantly untrue, overly general, or completely unfair about the Xbox, there's a pretty good chance you'll find me replying to their post.

Why? Because it's fun, that's why. I learn something, and so do they, hopefully. Now grow up and quit the insults.

You just proved my point.

You act like some events didn't happen even though you know they did. You don't post uneasy facts - you hide them.

You hide the fact that you got 2 consoles for free ($800 worth) and you are the first to jump on any honest guy asking "Why should I shell out $400 on a 360?". People pay REAL money for hardware and most of the time it isn't an easy decision for them. You didn't make that decision personally.

You aren't an honest person, you are how should I call you... fake? artificial?

Your answers sound like a typical PR:

A multitude of new experiences, stirring both cooperation and competition. All genres, different game types, new goals, strengthened global community.

Not purchasing these "current gen-up" ports will lead to low sales and means the Xbox 360 will miss out on valuable next-gen exclusives in the future.

Think Elder Scrolls 4: Oblvion. Perfect example. Biggest RPG ever to grace a console or PC. Uncompromised. However, on the PC you get those modding options, which is great. In the future, new storage and online solutions will bring that PC-level customization to your television. Heck, the PS3 and Xbox 360 may yet make those dreams a reality this generation.

The fact that you *are* a marketing guy does not help your credibility.
You aren't posting for fun like me. You are posting because of your ideology.
That's how I see you and that's why I despise you.

If that gets me banned here - fine, at least I'm frank.

Heh, stop baiting Borys. I don't want to see him get banned.

He may be the last standing pure PC fanboi at GAF forums. We need some semblance of balance at this forum, and taking away our resident PC guy would tip the scales and who knows what could happen then! I don't have his same convictions anymore, as I've been assimilated into the Xbox family, but we still need a PC voice out there. 360 is evolving the way I hoped PC gaming would go. I have all confidence he'll eventually give in and join the Xbox 360 family. :D PC developers are heading this route Borys, it isn't all bad!
