The key word you are missing is that you think it is better. You saying BioShock has a better opening doesn't make it so.

Just drop it Blood. Dax isn't capable of realizing that his beliefs don't necessarily reflect what everyone else believes. He never listens to anyone's opinions but his own and nothing's going to change that.

dax is like 17 so hes still going through the stage where he thinks his opinion is fact. once hes matured and lost his virginity i imagine he would be a pretty chill guy but at the moment hes too hyperactive.

I posted the same sound analysis I posted here to the Bnet reach forum, and I almost feel like I'm accidentally trolling those people. Or they think I'm severely dumb. But one of them corrected me on the misuse of the term "clip." I ought to have called them "magazines."

Still, though, I want additional assets of the Nuguns to speculate/drool over, and then declare overpowered. Even seeing the Mystery weapon's round would make it a lot more interesting.

Uncharted 2 was amazing but Bioshock definitely had my favorite beginning of any game this gen.

I do love Bioshock's opening because of its place in the story, but there are things about the way the game opens that (at first) only work because we're used to "video game logic" and that really bothered me for a good chunk of the game, until I completely fell in love with it.
Both games throw you right into the game in a pretty similar way, but I thought Uncharted 2's opening worked better on its own and was used in a way I've never seen in a game before (the train bit later on uses some fantastic narrative/cinematic tricks).

Anyway, this is getting super off-topic again.
Halo. It's like a space donut that will kill us all.

It may seem like its off topic but its leading to an epic Reach intro conversation and the different flavors that may accompany it. Or we just have nothing to talk about until the next update and until the 11th.

That being said, i didnt like bioshock. I dont know why but i really tried to like it but i just couldnt. Nothing grabbed me in the way that i would like a AAA game to do.
EDIT: i think it was the inconvenience of weapon management and cycling accompanied by mediocre aiming controls... i dont know why i had a hard time just aiming and shooting like with most games. Another thing i didnt like was that all of the rooms are really dark. One thing i liked about Resident Evil (except 4 and 5) is that they had a good ballance between dark rooms and light rooms.

Am i the only one thats upset they scrapped most of Halo 2's story so that Halo 3 can be more simple?

I think there was an interview a few weeks ago where it was strongly hinted that Firefight would be in Reach (on the basis that the employee being interviewed was talking about how netcode needs to be designed with campaign elements in line to work, and kinda wink wink nudge nudge'd away from answering when the reporter asked about it directly)

Don't know if it's because I shopped him way too much, or because he whored himself to all the halo forums this side of the galaxy, but I'm so sick of Oonsk now. I want him to go away. Can't wait for the rest of halogaf to feel the same, eventually. :lol

Oonsk's development and adoption outside of GAF is the single strangest, most delightful and hilarious thing to come out of HaloGAF. Though I suspect in a couple months, he'll be another semi-forgotten forum meme. He had a good run.

It's not like the topic even comes up much in this thread anymore, it mostly exists outside of the forum now. That continues to surprise... and freak me out a bit.

I'm still pushing for Skirmishers to make this noise. Oonsk was already in Reach so he didn't need the extra attention, but if the Skirmishers make any noise other than this there'll be no telling how disappointed Reach will be.

Agreed, not funny at all. I just pop in from time to time to see if any new info has come up. Once I see that weird little thing I just X out.
